For starters, she's melding the old-school female R&B of Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey with the edgy international electronica arrangements that have dominated Taiwan pop for the last few years. She's also no stranger to films, playing opposite Jackie Chan and voicing the heroine of the Mandarin-language version of Disney's "Mulan." Her upcoming debut CD is generally excellent.
