Beverly Hills Premiere @ the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences' Samuel Goldwyn Theatre Tuesday, December 5, 2000 @ 7PM
My cousin & I got there early... around 5PM, so I got a chance to take a few pictures.
-First one: in front of the academy building of the premiere. -Second one: on the infamous red carpet with bright spotlights. -Third one: with a movie poster another fan brought.
Reporters and other people started to arrive for the event. The security got ready for the fan-frenzy with the arrival of the stars!!!

Reporters got in their assigned places to get ready to take pictures and interview the celebrities.
CoCo was one of the 1st ones to arrive. She walked down the red carpet slowly posing for pictures and stopping for interviews. She was at the reporter right before our space when her publicist whispered something to her, and she was back to the front again, where some reporters missed her the first time. Then when she made her way back towards us, she passed us again to talk to the Asian press. We were about to die!
Michelle Yeoh being interviewed by ABC and TVB-S. Note: Michelle & CoCo were so excited to see one another. They had a rather long conversation. I could hear everything they were saying, but I forced myself to block it out so I wouldn't intrude on their private conversation.
Turns out that Ang Lee, the director of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was the big talk of the night. Here, he is talking to... everyone! All the reporters gathered around when he arrived. They all wanted to talk to him about this film rumored to be the "best martial arts film ever."
| We almost didn't get to talk to CoCo. Our reporter friend, "B" could see how disappointed we felt, so he called out to her to come sign our CDs. I talked to her for a little bit and she remembered my friend who had done backup vocals for one of her concerts. She signed the pictures we took the last time I met her and of course my CD covers. The movie premiere was about to begin, so I asked if she could take a picture real quick. I, so kindly(!), let my cousin take it with her because, well... he's a freaky fan!
