| Pat Santos Marcantonio | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Patricia Santos Marcantonio is a native of Pueblo, Colo. She earned a bachelor of science in mass communications from the University of Southern Colorado. She is currently community editor with The Times-News in Twin Falls, but has also worked as a radio and television reporter. She has won several state and regional journalism awards and short story awards from Idaho Writers' League, and placed in the Cactus Pete's Carl Hayden short story contest and the Prose for Papa short story contest. Her magazine articles have appeared in Entertainment Weekly and Sun Valley Magazine. Her first book, Red Ridin� in the Hood and Other Cuentos was published in 2005 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux of New York. Her screenplay won second in the Phoenix Film Festival screenplay contest, in the top 55 for the Women in Film Las Vegas competition, semifinalist in the Cinestory short script contest and quarterfinalist in The Writers Network contest. She has attended several screenwriting workshops, including one presented by Robert McKee. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
