Julie Fanselow
Julie Fanselow has lived in Idaho since 1989 and has been a full-time freelancer for 15 years, becoming self-employed after a decade as a newspaper reporter and editor. During the 1990s, she found success as a travel writer, penning numerous guidebooks (including Idaho Off the Beaten Path, now in its sixth edition; Traveling the Lewis & Clark Trail; and a half-dozen others) and many articles for magazines including Sunset and Via. Julie is now focusing on public policy work as a writer for the Connecticut-based Study Circles Resource Center (www.studycircles.org) and as an online organizer and writer for the Larry Grant for Congress campaign (www.grassrootsforgrant.com). She also writes the www.redstaterebels.com blog (named one of the Northwest's best) and manages her Boise-based business, Write the Change (www.writethechange.com).
