25/09/04: Chillin and prepping new songs, with video haunting madness ...

Last wednesday's journey to London for the Pleasure Unite gig was a fun and productive one. The cockerneys survived and enjoyed the Skinboat's entertainment, so it looks like London here we come for more appearances and random acts of audio terrorism.
Also there's rumours on the offing of the boat starting a new
video project with a propa 'most haunted' vibe ... spooky, cheap and taking the p*ss ...
23/10/04: Post gig aches and breaks ...

Last night's gig at the Ska bar with the
Catch-it-kebabs and Klopeks was a success to say skinboat aren't ska. It's all a bit skanky, but that's to do with personal hygene and big rock robots. Enjoyable non-the-less and a nice chance to play to a new home crowd. For once the college PA survived at the Upstairs room and the kebabs went on to bounce the town and dub-skat some swing-core stage violence. Klopeks opened up with some wicked carny-core - - all in all - cheers to all involved ........... bigga entertainmendo especiale ... viva muchos bueretto

There's more gigs waiting to come in - keep an eye out - Meanwhile check out besonic.com to
download another song off the new e.p. .... 'Sorry' - it's more or less a lack of apology for any occasion and it rocks as the set opener .... click click click f*ck
10/11/04: All's quiet on the front lines as Xmas draws in ...

Every year Xmas gets earlier and earlier, even from early november it didnt even give chance for bonfire night to get out of the way, here comes santa (dyslexics may get satan).
The Nov 5th celebrations and fireworks display was enjoyed at The Furnace, Hoyland ... this year there were no dodgey fireworks that dint quite get off the ground. All was good, there were loads of fireworks and some biggies to finish. Then onto some quality real ale drinking with yarmes and friends ...
19/11/04: As the industry closes for Xmas, Skinboat settle back for some reviews at garageband.com and maybe a surprise show in tarn before everyone goes they're own xmas ways and the like ...

We found a new host for our music, because it looks like besonic has shut down. Garageband.com comes from the ashes of the old mp3.com but with a nice twist - it's all about doing reviews to earn credits to do other interesting stuff. We've had a couple of hardcore weeks earning credit and listening to loads of other bands. True they're mostly U.S. bands but it's been good getting opinions back ... and also to see the reactions to bad reviews we give. At least it's an honest site and some people shouldn't put music out if they can't take a bit of criticism ...  hehe, we can, that's the point - not all music is for everybody, especially with our heavy edge, but we certainly aint like some of the US metal out there. However we have been getting some decent reviews .... Have a look, see what ya thinks ... it's a good site
main garageband site
skinboat's bits on garageband
Also the video footage is coming along nicely, we spent a couple of days last week running around the darker areas of The Old royal hotel, now the assembly, but there's reports of actual hauntings and we got a few orbs, ... what's that Sam, i'm getting a name ...
Stan has upgraded his pc and we're going into video/dvd production for next year.
Meanwhile we're trying for a last big show entertainment special - more info as it happens....
