If you go into a library, you�ll find all sorts of books sitting on the shelves. I�ve brought my library with me this afternoon. It�s in my bag.

The Bible looks like one book, doesn�t it, but it�s actually 66!
* Can anyone tell me any of the books of the Bible? ���..
There are books of Poetry, Proverbs, Songs, Stories, Sermons, Letters and much more in the Bible.
And a bit like a game of football, it�s divided into two halves -
The Old Testament
And the New Testament
The Old Testament tells about the time before Jesus was born.
The New Testament tells the story of Jesus and what his followers did.

The Bible as a whole is thought to be a special book by Christians who believe that
God helped all the different writers of the book to write it to teach them what God is like.
Other religions also use the Bible. The Old Testament is the special book for the Jewish people. And Muslims also tell stories of Jesus.
Let�s bow our heads and close our eyes and we�ll talk to God in prayer.
Dear God,
Thank you for all kinds of books:
For books that are fun to read,
For books that help us with our lessons,
And for books that teach us things we didn�t know.
Thank you for all the people who have written books
Which help others to learn.
Thank you for the Bible which teaches us about God.
Help us to respect the books that are important to other people.
