Angel: In the Dark
Wednesday, Channel 7, 10:30pm
The man who has perfected the brooding look seems a bit out of
whack lately: with Irish pal Doyle off he scene (which silly producer's
idea was that?) and eternal love Buffy stuck in her own show until
the next cross-over episode, Angel (David Boreanaz) desperately
needs a cheer-up. At least he's got sassy co-worker Cordeliea
(Charisma Carpenter), who delivers all the best lines these days.
The gang is caught up in gender wars, with Angel helping Jhiera,
a femal demon from another dimension, defeat her male oppressors.
It seems the blokes from Oden Tal like nothing better thatn to
dubdue the females, the patriachy not being confined to our dimension,
largely by way of amputation the spines on the back of the woman's
necks. Nasty stuff, of course, and no wonder Angel is keen to
help, altough Jhiera is never particularly grateful. Each to their
own dimension, she seems to say. Unfortunately, she is dealing
with Angel, whos is so relentlessly good now as the vampire turned
Clark Kent.
