When I was a kid, I had every kind of dollhouse you could possibly imagine. Barbie houses, Fisher Price Lil' People Houses, Polly Pocket Houses, you name it, I had it. After a while though, it began to be more of a frustration than it was fun. As I got older my hands grew and I found it harder and harder to reach into my doll houses (especially the smaller ones) and play with everything without knocking things over and making a mess of the house. Plus, it always seemed like there were a thousand things I felt like my little people needed, things that would make playing with all of it so much more fun. Sometimes I even wanted to repaper the walls and slap down some new carpet. But it just wasn't possible. Those were things you could not do. Until now. If you've never played The Sims, you really don't know what you're missing. If you've ever played with a doll house and thought how much fun it would be to use telekineces to operate and run your plastic household, or even if you haven't, you will love The Sims. I was first introduced to the sims in the spring of 2000. I knew all about Sim City before, but had never played The Sims. One day at a friend's house we began playing it and I was hooked! Since then, there have been expansion packs galore, each coming with new and shocking things that you can use in everyday life for your "little people" as you control their lives, their friends lives, and now even their pets' lives! You play God! And what more can a mortal ask for than their own little living environment that they create, control and watch over. Secretly, its what we all want. And with The Sims, its what you get. |
