About the Maker
Name: Josie
Animal: Rabbit
Species: Half-lap
Josie is a beautiful rabbit. She is my first large furry pet, and my favorite of all my pets.
Sometimes we call Josie the "Airplane Bunny" or the "John Trevolta Rabbit." We call her that because of her unique ears. Her ears form a diagonal line, one left-up, one right-down. We associate this with Travolta's disco move, hence her nickname. My pet name for her is "Bun-bun," even though I'm not really one of those people that gets all "lovey-dovey" over babies and that stuff.
My family got Josie when she was three years old, and at about the time we got my snake Macbeth. This was because my seventeen-year old brother didn't have any pets and was upset that I was getting so many. Originally, my brother tried to get a chinchilla, but he settled on a rabbit.
As luck would have it, a friend at my dad's work had a daughter that was getting rid of her pet bunny becuase she was on the swimming team and felt she couldn't care for it as much. She had actually gotten the rabbit after another friend, who had gotten her from a breeder. So, my dad brought home pictures of the rabbit. I saw them, and honestly, I wasn't excactly in love with what I saw. Anyway though, we picked up the rabbit after consideration. Her cage, two litter boxes, a blanket, food, timothy, mineral wheels, sccop, brush, nail clippers, hay rack, water bottle, and food dish all came with her, and we didn't even have to pay them!
After about half of a year, my brother got tired of the rabbit. But was I about to let her go to a FOURTH home?! Not a chance! I took her and now have all the responsibilities of caring for her, which, I may add, is a lot of work! But I love her, so I don't mind.

Josie likes going outside with and without a leash. She hates it when her paws get wet though, and wants to come inside. When outside, she nibbles on grass, eats a lot of clover, and even treats herself to a tulip leaf!!!
Once she was attacked by Peekay (P.K.), and got really scared. But she survived, and now the cat is scared of her!
Josie has a cage in the basement, but she has a door on the side that is always open. She is free to run around the basement, and she doesn't cause damage to electrical cords or furniture!
Sometimes, she does get something we affectionatly call "poopy-butt." That is when a large glob of wet poop sticks to her bottom, poor buny.
Josie likes to be upstairs in the living room with the family and watch TV. Her favorite show is West Wing, and the Lord of the Rings movies scare her.
Among Josie's favorite foods are: celery, spinach, apple, and carrots. When I get a popsicle, I always let Josie take a lick or two from it because she likes it, but not more than that because I know it's not good for her.
I love Josie. She is one of the most important things in my life, and I wouldn't trade her for the world.
I LOVE YOU, JOSIE!
