| Termagants make up the mass of any Tyranid ground assault. These broods are generally massive, due to the fact that they rely heavily upon strength in numbers. They may be the weakest of the Tyranid force, but two or three can easily bring a Space Marine down. Their purposes are many. Some are fitted with organic weaponry and provide short ranged covering fire for other Termagants geared solely for close assault. Another use of the Termagant that will cause problems for you is their ability to form a living shield. This means that more deadly units like Genestealers and Hormagaunts will lurk behind Termagant broods until the time to strike is right.
