| The Genestealer menace has been known for quite some time now. They were initially thought to be an independent derelict race that possessed no technology or methods of space travel. This has been revealed to be a falsehood. The Genestealers found on great Space Hulks and hidden in secret cult amongst Hive Worlds, are in fact vanguards for the bulk of the Tyranid Fleet. A signal beacon if you will. Had we been wiser, maybe this Tyranid curse could have been avoided. On the battlefield, Genestealers are of the most deadly close quarter opponents in the galaxy. Their strength is as phenomenal as their blinding speed. Genestealers are also quite intelligent. They are used as violent shock troops and tend to mix in with masses of lesser creature like Termagants to bolster their effectiveness and increase their chances of surviving firefights. One thing is key when facing Genestealers. A Genestealer is useless until it can engage in an assault. Fire upon them at first sight and continue until they have been purged.
