| The biovore is a strange creature, and a good example of how the Hive Mind designs organisms for a single purpose. This monster is essentially a living mortar. It nurses Spore Mines inside its body and prepares them for firing. Once ready a massive convulsion of of muscles cause the Spore Mine to travel high into the air and drift down on top of its target. Once the Spore Mine contact a non-Tyranid object, it detonates in a shower of acid. There are many variations of Spore Mines that have been encountered in battle, each more terrifying than the next. These creatures tend to waddle about the rear lines of the army and are difficult to engage with regular Troops early in the battle.
