Hellfire Giantess - This is the
Hellfire giantess with axe by Grim Reaper castings. Grim Reaper is great because they have
a number of female monster figures, the Hellfire Giantess with axe being one of them.
Using the Monster Manual as a guide, I painted her up like a fire giant, sorta. Instead of
black skin I gave her a very dark brown which would blend in too well with the black
gloves and boots, but was still "close" to the 'correct" color for fire
giants I used a variety of metal colors on her, silver, copper and bronze which really
made for some nice contrast |

Genie - This is the Ral Partha genie
done my way. I will admit I was thinking of the Disney movie Aladdin when I painted him.
The blue skin was just "so him". His pants and sash are done in pearls as are
his shoes. I have one picture of him with one of the reaper dancing girls so you can get
an idea as to his size. He is still in the 25mm scale for the type of creature he is. |

Nightmare Pegasus - made by RAFM,
this piece was painted for sale on e-bay. He has a fiery shaded mane, tail and feathering,
red "rubies" are set in his eyes. The snake is a bright green and red, I was
trying to go for a "poisonous" look with it. The clouds are a blue gray with
white dry brushed over, and the tendril coming from "somewhere below" are a
black green. The whole piece stand about 2 1/2 inches to 3 inches tall |

Manticore - This is the manticore
miniature put out by Grim Reaper castings. Following the new Monster Manual by
Wizards of the West Coast, I painted him up. His "mane" is a shaded rust with a
lighter red dry brushed over. His base is flocked with "fake" grass. |
 |
Ogre - This Ogre is by Wizards of the
West Coast. I am rather proud of how he turned out. I even added some rocks to his base
and long grass. He is painted according to the description in the Monster Manual. All of
his buckles and metal parts were hand painted with a high gloss finish. |
  |
Fallen Angel - This is Ral Partha's
Fallen Angel. He is a shaded red with black hair. His word is a dark metal color with
flames dancing about it. His base is covered with real sand and some small pieces of lava
stone were glued on. The bright silver off his armor makes for quite the contrast to his
skin don't you think? |

Minotaur by Reaper miniatures. He was a
fun one to do, I was trying to stay with the bull's head and man's body theme so I gave
him "human" skin on the body and bull color fur on his head. Trying to get the
"furry" look on his arms took a little work |

Ogre -
This is an ogre put out by grenadier. He is my first attempt at doing a "ink
wash" Not too bad. thankfully ogres are supposed to be "dirty" looking. I
used a tan base and then did a brown wash. A bit of highlighting was then done. His eyes,
mouth and sword were brushed with a high gloss finish |
