watere.jpg (11831 bytes) Water Elemental - This is the water elemental miniature put out by Wizards of the West coast. I shaded many colors of blue into it to give it a watery appearance. The using a no-fire snow (used in ceramics) I added "froth" to the edges. I think this gives it a more watery appearance. the whole thing is also glossed over with a high gloss to add even more to the wet-look of water
air.jpg (14582 bytes) Air Elemental - This is the Wizards of the West Coast air elemental. Though a rather easy one to paint, two shades of blue dry brushed over in white, what make him fun is his "cloud" To make him look more like a creature made of "air" I took a cotton ball and pulled it apart and placed it around the base of the elemental. The effect was exactly what I wanted! I look forward to doing this again with other air elementals of this type
EarthElementalW.jpg (10336 bytes) Earth elemental by Wizards of the West Coast. This guy was the first earth elemental I did from the Wizards line of miniatures. He came out so well I kept him for my private collection. He is a shaded in various colors of brown. His base has real sand and small gravel (That look like rocks when placed on the base) to make it look more "real". He came out very well I think.

RAFM elementals these four elementals are part of a set of mages with elementals put out by RAFM. The fire elemental has been shaded in various colors of red, orange and yellow and then matte sprayed. The air elemental was painted a light blue base and then white dry brushed over. the water elemental (my favorite!) is various shades of blues and greens with a it of yellow worked in to make the waves more "real" The tips of the waves were finished of with a "fake" snow that makes perfect "froth". The fish was painted to look like a salmon. The earth elemental (My second favorite) is a variety of browns and gray. A few green vines are worked in too. On his shoulder, on a branch, is a black squirrel (which really do exist and are quite abundant her in Council Bluffs, IA) Unfortunately the squirrel doesn't stand out too well
