Randy Rhoads is one of the most influential guitar players, to me and my playing. Without  Randy I would never have picked up the guitar he's been a big influence. I really respect the guy for what he can do with a guitar. A great player who now has 'Guitar God' status even though he'd been in the spotlight for 2 years, before his unfortunate death on March 19th 1982.
Thankyou Randy Rhoads and rest in peace

Dear Randy, We miss you, and wish you were here. I am a big fan of your music. You guys won't beleive this, but I found out he died only a couple of weeks ago, since I wasn't born until 1989.Randys death makes me sad. I even cry. Now i have pictures of him on my bedroom ceiling. I have liked him alot over the weeks, and now I have a little crush on him. I will name my future son after Randy, because Randy is so cool and great who would'nt like him.- Jen
ps, Rest in Peace Randy, I'll be sure to meet you in heaven when I get there. On the day of  the anniversary of his death I'll play Goodbye to Romance.

I think the thing that seperated Randy from others, aside from sheer outstanding ability, was the fact that he poured so much of his beautiful soul into each and every note. You didn't just hear him you truly felt him. He shared so much of himself in his music. His music became him. No other performer, aside from Ozzy has the ability to touch me the way they both did and continue to do. He still gives me chills (and tears sometimes) and I guess he always will. There was no clear seperation between him, his music and his guitar. They were one and the same. He simply used the guitar as an extention of himself and his music as a window into his soul. I am convinced that there will never be another quite like him. We were blessed to have had him for the brief time that we did. He will live on his music and in our hearts for all eternity. Thankyou Ozzy for bringing him into our lives.

Randy you have been an influence on my life and my music. I'm proud to call you my favourite rock guitarist and regret the chance that I never got to see you play live. I echo the sentiments of Eddie Van Halen, who summed it up when he said "I have an immence amount of respect for what he did" and that "he was also very dedicated to his playing. I think that showed in his work."
You left us with a ton of music for you and your legacy to live through, and you left us too soon. God bless you Randy. Save me a spot in Heaven's ampitheater.

Randy Rhoads I salute thee.

Randy was the best guitarist ever in my opinion. He came up with some great riffs that we will always remember him by. He left us way to soon and is sorely missed

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and on the morning
We will remember them."
Randy 20 years on, you are not forgotten. RIP
