TOW The Nervousness

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is a continuance of TOW It's Confusing,
so you should read that first to understand this one. Hope
you enjoy!

Scene: Where we last left off (Chandler's on the phone).

Chan: Yes, I can meet you tomorrow, my wife will be gone.
(Pause) Okay, that sounds great! See you then!

Mon: (V.O.) Chandler are you coming?

Chan: Here I come!
(He enters bedroom - cut screen to Mon & Chan's bedroom)

Mon: Who did you call?

Chan: (nervous) No-no one. Just-just a friend.

Mon: Okay. (She opens her mouth as if to say something else,
but decides against it.)

Chan: Good night sweetheart.

Mon: Night.

Scene: The next morning, Monica and Rachel are talking at
Central Perk alone.

Rach: So you go in today! Are you exited? Nervous? What
are you?!

Mon: I'm a little of both I guess. I can't believe I might
be a mother!

Rach: Oh, I'm so happy for you! Where's Chandler?

Mon: He was sleeping so I decided to leave him be. He is
so cute I couldn't bother him!

Rach: Awwww!

Mon: Oh, here he comes! Shh!

(Chandler enters without noticing them. He seems pre-occupied.)

Mon: Hi Chandler!

Chan:(Jumps) Oh! I didn't see you. I'm-I'm just stopping
in for some coffee before work. (Checking his watch) I
think I'm going to have to skip coffee this morning or
I'll be late for work. Got to run. Bye. (He said that all
very fast)
(Chandler leaves)

Rach: Wow, he seemed jumpy.

Mon: Yeah, he's been acting really weird lately. Do you
think he found out about me being pregnant and that scared him?

Rach: If you would have said that a few months ago and he
wasn't dating you, he was dating someone else, I would have
said yes. But with you, he's changed. I think now he would
be happy and not scared.

Mon: Thanks, Rachel.

(They hug and Joey, Ross and Phoebe enter)

Joey: Is that all you ever do? Anytime you want to go any
farther, you just tell me.

Mon/Rach: Joey!

Phoe: Ooh... somethings wrong, I can sense it.

Mon: Yeah, Chandler's been acting really weird lately.
He's all jumpy and nervous all the time.

Rach: Has he mentioned anything to you guys that might make
him like this?

Ross/Phoe/Joey: No/Not really/Can't think of anything.

Mon: Okay.

Scene: Chandler's work.

Chan: (thinking to himself) Should I have told Joey or
Ross? No, I don't want to tell them until after I tell
Monica. I wonder what her reaction will be?

Scene: Lunch, Central Perk, everyone is there except Chandler.

Mon: I have a doctor appointment that starts in like, 30
min, so I better leave soon. Remember, to Chandler this is
a dentist appointment.

Joey: You leave that early? Why don't you leave 5 min before
it starts? Thats what I do.

Mon: The doctor's office is 20 min away, Joey. I'll be late.

Joey: Is that why they always make me wait an hour before I
can go in? (Monica choses not to answer that)
(Chandler enters)

Chan: Hi guys. Hey Monica. (He starts to look nervous again)

Mon: Well, I better go or I'll be late. Bye guys, bye sweetie.

Chan: Bye-bye Mon. (Monica leaves) I better go.

Phoe: Where are you going?

Chan: No-no where. Just-just a walk. Bye.

All: Bye. (Chandler exits)

Ross: He is acting weird.

Scene: C&M's apartment, Chandler is there alone.
(Knock on the door)

Chan: (opens it to reveal a lady standing there) Hi, I'm
so glad you could come.

Scene: Doctor's office, Monica is waiting in a small room.

Dr: Monica Geller?

Mon: Yes?

Dr: The resuts are back and you . . .

Scene: C&M's apartment

Lady: Hi. You must be Chandler Bing.

Chan: Yes, I am.

Lady: It will be a pleasure doing business with you.
