TOW Monica Realises

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is continued from TOW Monica and Chandler's Fight, so to
understand this one you should read that first. Also, this one is longer, because
I know that everyone has been asking me to make them that way.

Scene: Where we last left off (Central Perk).

Mon: It's over, Chandler.

Chandler looks at her with tears in his eyes, and Monica looks the same way.

Ross: Get out, Chandler. (Chandler gives one last look to the gang, whom are all
in tears except Ross, who is looking as mad as ever, and he leaves.)

Scene: Outside Central Perk, Chandler is walking along the sidewalk, thinking
things over.

Chan:(thinking to himself) They were all really mad at me. Have I ruined our
relationship? Monica looked horrible. I can't believe I caused her that much
pain and heartache. Yet, I'm surprised that she didn't even want to hear my
explination. She's usually the only rational one of the group. I can't blame
her, though, for the way I was found. I was with another woman. I just wish
Joey or Phoebe had helped me. Maybe not Rachel, because she and Mon are best
friends, or not Ross, beause they're bro and sis, but maybe Phoebe. I would
have normally counted on Joey, because he's my best friend. I'm surprised
that at least he didn't want to hear my reasons. Wait! I can't believe I'm
doing this! I have to stop blaming my friends for what I've done wrong.
I can't do that.

Scene: Central Perk.

Ross: I can't believe he did that to you! I'm glad you broke up with him. You
don't need all that pain.

Mon:(in shock) Did I just break up with him?

Ross: Yes you did. He deserved that. (Sorry to anyone who likes Ross, he's just
trying to protect Monica.)

Monica just looks sad. 'Maybe I should have listened to his reason. But I'm so
mad at him right now...I think.' Monica thinks to herself.

Scene: Time lapse C&M's apartment. Everyone but Chandler is there. Monica is
still looking sad (who wouldn't be!) and Rachel notices.

Rach: Come on, Mon. You'll be okay.

Mon (nods and puts on a fake smile): Okay. (Thinks) Yeah, he deserved that.
I shouldn't be sad.

Scene: Central Park, Chandler is sitting on a bench, still thinking.

Chan(thinking to himself): Should I go back? They all seemed really mad. Maybe
they have cooled down by now. I think I'll try and go tell them the whole story.

Chandler takes the ring out of his pocket. "I hope she likes it." He says out
loud. "But I hope even more than that that she will find in her heart to forgive
me." He starts walking home.

Scene: Small time lapse, C&M's apartment. Everyone has picked up all the baby
clothes that were lying on the floor. There is a knock at the door, and Ross
goes to open it. It's Chandler.

Chan: Can I speak to Monica?

Ross: No, you cannot. You have hurt us enough so you can leave now and take us
out of our misery.

Chan: I want to explain to Monica what happened.

Ross: No! You will never talk to her again! If I find you anywhere near her I
will personally make sure that you end up in a hospital!(Ross slams the door
in his face) He doesn't deserve you, Monica. No matter what his explination is,
because he did this now, when you needed him most. When you're having his baby.

Mon: Yeah. (She knows she should be mad, but when she broke up with him, she
realised something. She wanted to hear his explination. She wasn't mad. She
realised one more thing that she should have thought of before. She was still
in love with him. And she had never stopped. She had made a mistake. She had
to find him.)No.(quietly)

Phoe: What?

Mon:No.(louder) I can't let this happen.

Rach: Let what happen? Monica, what are you talking about?

Mon: I can't let him leave like that. I have to give him a chance, to let him
explain.

Joey: But I thought you were mad at him. (thoroughly confused)

Mon: I realised I wasn't.

She runs to the door to chase after Chandler, but Ross blocks her.

Mon: Ross? What are you doing?

Ross: I'm not going to let you get hurt like this.

Mon: Like what? This is my decision.

Ross: He cheated on you!

Mon: I didn't even get to hear his reasons. He might not have.

Ross: What do you mean?! He was there with another woman! How could he not have
been cheating on you? What about all the things you said in the coffee house?

Mon: I don't know, and I didn't mean anything by that. It was just mood swings
from my pregnancy. I do care about what he has to say.

Ross: Aren't you mad at him?

Mon: You know, you'd think I'd be, but I trust him and love him too much to be
like that right now. (With that, she rushes out the door. Not even Ross could
stop her then.)

Scene: The Hallway. (I'm going back in time right now, to when Ross had just
slammed the door in Chandler's face. Get it? Got it? Good.)

Chandler hears talking coming from the apartment. He was too sad to listen at
that moment. He quickly wiped his eyes, because he realised that he was crying.
'It's over' those words kept playing through his mind. No one wanted to be near
him right now, not even his best friend. He wasn't wanted. He made a quick decision.
He walked into Joey's apartment and grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. He
scribbled something on the paper, and found an envelope and some tape. Chandler
put the piece of paper in there, and grabbed something out of his pocket. He
held it in his hand sadly, tears forming in his eyes and slowly dropped Monica's
engagement ring into the envelope. He taped the envelope onto the door and turned
around, tears now streaming down his face, and slowly walked down the stairs, out
of the apartment building.


I know, I know, still really short, but I wanted to keep you in a cliffhanger!
