A tribute to those who have been affected by the events of 9-11-01
May the Lord bless us all in this time of terrible tragedy. "Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. I cry out to God Most High, to God, who fulfills his purpose for me. He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me; God sends his love and his faithfulness. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake, my soul!" Psalm 57: 1-3,5,7 (NIV)

The Star Spangled BannerOn the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream: 'Tis the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave! And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion, A home and a country should leave us no more? Their blood has wash'd out their foul footsteps' pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave. O thus be it ever when free-men shall stand Between their lov'd home and the war's desolation; Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: In God is our trust! And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave! |
"And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age..." - Jesus
We wonder: Will we ever be safe and secure again? Will it ever be the America we remember just a few days ago? God always shares with us his comfort as we move forward into the future: "Be patient, therefore, beloved, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious crop from earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near. James 5:7-8

On A Personal Note~ My deepest prayers and sympathies go out to those who lost loved ones in this attack against the United States. This is human nature acting at its worst. I pray that you will be comforted in God's Word and in His arms thoughout this painful time that we as a nation and world must endure. We turn to Him and He will carry us to victory against those who feel that they can take the blood of innocent people. God bless you and your family, Adam Janke <>< Webmaster, Flyfree432

"To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God. No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse." Psalm 25:1,3
