Materials

HOOK: Heavy wire, 1X or 2X

THREAD: Tan, black or olive 6/0

WEIGHT: Led wire – your option

TAIL: Mallard or teal flank feathers (bronze or a tan)

RIB: Small copper wire – your option

ABDOMEN and THORAX: Natural grayish tan or olive nymph dubbing

HACKLE: Mallard or teal – I have also used partridge

How to Fish

Fished as a dead drift or dropper. Similar to uses for Hare’s Ear, more of an attractor pattern than a match type pattern. I have even applied floatant and fished it as a fallen terrestrial.
