BIOFEEDBACK:

Biofeedback is the use of instrumentation designed to give us feedback about certain biological processes such as muscle tension, blood pressure, blood flow, heart rate, and neurological activity. The purpose of biofeedback is to provide a useful tool for appropriate forms of self-regulation. E.g. individuals can actually learn to actively participate in the management of their autonomic nervous system, muscle tension blood flow, and body temperature. We work closely with the physician in coordinating treatment. We at NPS employ biofeedback to help in the following conditions:

Stress Reduction

Vascular as well as Tension Headaches

Essential Hypertension

Hyperactivity

Panic Disorder

Desensitization of Phobias

Insomnia

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Gastro-Intestinal Distress
