Dogs Waiting at the Rainbow Bridge
Princess
Princess was a Bearded Collie/Terrier cross. We adopted her from the Quinte Humane Society at the age of two. She had been badly abused by her previous owners but with love and lots of attention she became a very nice but timid dog. She was our special Princess for about 4 years when we had to put her down. We miss her so very much !!! Princess loved chasing squirrels, walks, peanut butter Kongs and just lazing about with us. WE MISS YOU PRINCESS!!!
Piper
This is Piper. I don't know much about Piper except that there was an accident and Piper was taken away from her family. She was about 3 days shy of her 1st birthday. It left her family heartbroken. However, they adopted one of Ruby's pups, Schenley, and although she will never replace Piper, they once again have a furry little bundle to love!!!
Bear
Bear was a nice elderly gentleman friend who lived next door to Ruby and Nicky. Ruby seemed to know Bear was older and she always seemed to tone it down a bit when around him. Nicky respected Bear. He would occasionally quietly come up our driveway and visit us. We will always remember the story of Bear being the ring bearer at our next door neighbors wedding. Rest peacefully gentle Bear !!!
Zulu and Merlin
Zulu and Merlin lived with Tom and Emma. They were 2 Shetland Sheepdogs. Zulu was getting on in years and suffered terribly from arthritis. Merlin was fairly young and was having seizures. When the seizers kept getting worse and dosages kept going up, the difficult decision was made to put him down. Zulu and Merlin will live on forever in the hearts who knew them.
Frodo
Frodo came and went very quickly in our lives, but he left an everlasting impression. He was a very tiny chihuahua full of vim and vigor. He had gone through so much in his short life with a leg operation and was taken from us very unexpectedly. He will always be remembered!
Sandy
Sandy was Ruby, Nicky and Avro's cousin. She was a nice old girl who was rescued later on in her life. She lived a good life just outside of Montreal. Going for her daily walk was one of her favorite things to do.
