| Redirected Agression |
| Redirected Aggression is caused by trying to take the dog away from a situation he is acting aggresivly in. The dog may bite, bark, growl and snap at you if you or someone else tries to take the dog away from the situation. If a dog is already acting aggressive, his emotions are off wacked, and his body is running with chemicals, if you try to remove him from the situation, he may turn on you. Reacting without thinking. Humans are the same way. Just about everyone has been in a situation where their so mad, they can't even think straight. I remember one time I was so mad at someone, we almost got in a fight, but one of my friends pulled me away, and I took it out on them. I ended up hurting someone I loved, not thinking, and regreted it afterwards. Dogs are the same way. When Hazel starts to act out, or I see something that would cause her to act out, I put her in her crate, this way, she will not hurt anyone, or herself. |
