The Healthy Pooch
A lot of dog owners don't even know if their dog is healthy! This is a shocking realization to me... but then I think about it, and realize that about a year ago, I wouldn't have know if my dog was healthy or not either! I had to get the Vet to tell me!
Signs of a Healthy dog:
1) You can feel your dog's ribs, but not see them. If you can see them, your dog is UNDERWEIGHT, if you can't feel them, your dog is OVERWEIGHT.
2) Your dog likes to play, and shows normal behaviors of play. (ie. the Play Bow, running, ect.)
3) Your dog is eating at a normal rate. Not acting as if it's his/her last meal, but also not taking all day to eat (if dog was trained properlly).
4) Shiney, soft coat. (can be maintained by regular brushing, and bathing)
5) Clean ears, no sign of infection. (Signs of infection can be seen if the dog is scratching his/her ears, and/or tilting their head to one or either side)
6) Clean, srong teeth. None missing, white, not worn down.

If your dog starts to act out of the ordinary, you MUST get him/her to the vet right away!
