| Fear Aggression |
| Fear Aggression is the most common. Dogs with Fear Aggression, tend to bite/bark/growl/bare teeth, because their scared, not because their just mean! Dogs with fear aggression are usually the cause of bad socialization. You will find, that a dog with Fear aggression will keep to themselves, backing away, keeping ears on back of head, and tail between legs when they meet someone new. Fear aggression, is the dog protecting himself, out of fear, this doesn't mean the dog doesn't "hate" you. Just that the dog is afraid of you, and is trying to tell you "hey, don't mess with me!" This Aggression tends to show when the dog gets older. Gradually the dog starts showing signs of fright, and may back away, keep low to the ground, and growl. The aggression gets worse, as the dog gets older. ie, a you puppy, about 9 months, with shrink back, and growl at you, as for a fully grown 2 year old dog, would probablly lung at you in deffence. Usually the dog is prevoked by strangers, people he is afraid of, because he doesn't know who they are, and what they are capable of. Fear Aggressive dogs tend to "attack" when (lung, bite, growl) they are cornered, or in a familiar area (such as their home, owners, yard ect.). They also may be pervoked when being punished. They feel threatend and scared when being punished. (for maybe getting the the garbage, chewing ect) Some scientists now, are actually saying that Fear aggression is a genetic problem, that they can actually inherit Fear Aggression! |
