Lawn
Here the stairway through the mellyrn meets the top of a mighty hill, opening out into the middle of a great lawn filled with blue and yellow flowers. At the center of the lawn stands a great shimmering fountain which falls into a basin of silver. From the basin flows a white stream of water out into a small brook, which then trickles away down the hill. Further north there stands a mallorn tree of such magnificent height that it seems to reach even to the clouds. A path paved with white pebbles curves around the hilltop, leading west and east from the stairs.

The sun is almost at its highest point. There are no clouds in the sky. The lawn is lucious and green. Thorhur sits in the grass.

With his hands tucked into his tool belt and his head hung in deep thought, the carpenter Ereduinthil rises up along the stairs towards the Lawn. At the top of the stairs, the ellon pauses and peers about curiously.

Thorhur waves to Ereduinthil. He pulls back his cloak and walks towards him, head held high. His blue eyes shine in the sunlight.

Catching sight of someone waving, the carpenter lifts a brow and politely waves back. "Well met, friend," Ereduinthil says in greeting, "I am Ereduinthil, a humble carpenter." Tilting his head to the side, he lifts a brow and adds, "Do I know you?"

"I am Thorhur, a Sentinel of the Order of Lorien. How are you on this fine morning?" Thorhur smiles at Ereduinthil.

"I am well," Ereduinthil responds with a smile, "I had plans to begin work early, but chose to enjoy the sights and sounds of this lovely day." Pausing a moment to look around the Lawn, he brings his gaze back towards Thorhur, "A Sentinel you say? Is this lawn your duty sight or are you seeking a rest from your own duties?"

"I am but new to the Order and have no duties yet." Thorhur lifts his head. "It will be a fine day to be sure. What are you working on?"

"Ah," the carpenter replies, "It's good to see one so dedicated to the protection of this land." Taking a step forward, one hand lifts from a pocket of his tool belt and sweeps southward. "I've a number of projects. A chair, a few talans, and I'm helping some with Tailor's project to raise the sunken ship."

"I heard about that from Galharth! Do you know what was on it?" Thorhur looks anxious.

"I haven't heard about that! A sunken ship? What's on it?" Thorhur looks anxious.

Ereduinthil shrugs his shoulders, "They've only brought up the figurehead. The rest of the work seems paused until Galharth returns from his visit with Curunir," he says with disinterest. "It's old, no one knows anything about it, but the carving work on the figurehead is well done."

"Oh. I wish I could see it."

"The figurehead rests along the shore of the Anduin," Ereduinthil says with a glance southward, "All are free to come view it."

"Oh. Well, maybe I will come and see it." Thorhur looks long at Ereduinthil. "For some reason, I feel as if I know you," he says slowly.

With furrowed brows, Ereduinthil peers back at Thorhur. "It's very likely that we've seen eachother, or passed eachother, without meeting long enough to speak." He shrugs his shoulders, "Beyond that, I find no recollection."

Thorhur shrugs his shoulders. "That's quite possible. Well, I'm terribly sorry, but I just remembered that I promised to meet a fellow Sentinel for lunch. I enjoyed talking to you. Perhaps we can meet up some time."

"Perhaps. It was good meeting you," the carpenter says as he wanders along the path leading to the great tree.
