Golden Roadway - Northern Arc - Garden Shelter

You stand in an exceptionally large clearing high atop the great hill of Caras Galadhon, and along the Golden Roadway. This clearing is different than the others in that a sloping roof has been built over it providing many places to hang lanterns, tapestries, or hammocks among the pillars and beams. It appears someone has actually left a hammock hanging from the roof, though it looks quite small. Unlike a protected gazebo, though, there are no railings to protect careless creatures from tripping and rolling all the way down to the bottom of the hill.

To the south, partially following the westward curving road, a great piece of the hill has been roughed out and flattened. From this direction, the fragrant smell of flowers seem to pass through the area. As well, a small garden path lined with low cut bushes and small violets disappears in that direction.

Night in Caras Galadhon. A cool, lemon-fresh breeze, rich with forest scent, winds around the mallorn trunks, working it's way up the grand hill. At the moment, it lingers on the Golden Roadway, a small group of eldar sit beneath the shelter just north of the gardens, savoring the fresh presence, wondering at it's appearance, as elves are wont to do. Ostiel lies on her stomach just beneath the hammock, green eyes fixed upon a tiny, powder-blue moth. It perches on the grass, and she blows on it playfully, observing the fluttering animals half-hearted protests with a fond smirk.

"In the presence of a well crafted hammock, most would choose the comfort." A rich voice comments softly. "Yet from what I've seen of you, you rarely choose the path most often taken." The hem of teal robes comes to a pause beside the reclined elleth. "Good eve, Ostiel." Galharth says as he drops to one knee. "How are you?"

"Nor do you," Ostiel deigns to reply after a moment's pause, eyes flitting from the moth, who has taken to other nesting grounds, and up to her newly arrived companion. "That is why we understand each other, I believe. I am well enough...you have healed smoothly?"

The corner of the Tailor's mouth rises in amusement. It lasts only a moment, and quickly fades as he lifts his hand to look upon the fading shades of red still present on the hand that bore the burns. "It's healed in all but appearance, and that too is improving." Clenching and unclenching his hand, he allows it to drop to his side. "We still need to work on making changes to prevent such things from happening again."

Holding out her long fingers, Ostiel beckons for Galharth to come closer. "Allow me?" She continues. "In truth, I was surprised to hear of the burning. Such a thing has never before occured in my recollection. However," the healer shrugs, eyes dancing with the faintest hint of mischief, "Trouble follows you relentlessly, mellon nin."

Offering his hand to the healer, the Tailor shakes his head. "It surprises me that we've not had a problem before this time. The heat of the forge in such proximity to the fuel of our crafting supplies, and to the trees, is only inviting disaster." Again he shakes his head as he turns his hand over. "And, to be honest, the flames of trouble did not follow me. Instead, I rushed towards it."

"Then 'haunt' would perhaps be more accurate," Ostiel mumbles, half to herself, as she quietly examines Galharth's hand, turning it, running careful fingers along the burns. After a short while she grunts. "It is healing well...you were most blessed, Galharth. I have seen much worse."

"Indeed, and this could have been much worse." Galharth agrees. Drawing his hand back, he offers a smile. "I am also much fortunate that Lothlorien is home to such talented healers." Rising up to his feet, he continues to smile as he down. "Unfortunately, I can not stay to continue our chat. Work calls me, and I must get along to it." Lifting his healing hand to wave, he turns and departs, disappearing along the path.
