Clearing in the Forest

At this point, the smaller trees thin out to form a small clearing in the forest that is teaming with plant-life. It would seem that someone had a hand in creating a lush garden here as orderly plots showcase an abundance of brightly colored flowers and sweet smelling herbs. One could spend hours wandering through the gardens alone, but the trunk of one magnificent Mallorn fairly dominates the area. Ten Quendi holding hands might be able to encircle the trunk, it is so large, and it's limbs rise higher and higher until the top of the tree disappears into the sky.

Spiraling around the tree is a delicate silver staircase with three small platforms connected at ascending intervals. Attached to each platform is a rope bridge which spans the distance to one of three talans, each of which is nestled within the protective embrace of the mallorn's limbs.

=====================================================================

Even in the latest of hours the Woods of Lothlorien are seldom quiet or at rest. A few of the elves that live in these golden woods may rest for a few hours, but they are a minority. So it should come as no surprise to anyone that even at the hour of midnight singing can be heard from the talans and pathways, lights flicker in shimmer like tiny stars fallen to earth, though the stars in the sky shine much brighter against their inky backdrop. The large silvery orb of the moon rides low in the sky, casting a faint silver light onto the trees and grass.

It is in one of these silver tinted feilds that the elleth Thoniel lays, spread eagle in the tall grass, staring up at the stars

Humming softly, in time with the songs being sung softly in background, the Tailor Galharth wanders through the clearing. His mood is clearly light, and his step lively despite the needed use of his staff. Over his shoulder he carries an empty bag, suggesting that he's just made a delivery. Something in the field catches his eye, and he pauses his step to peer closer. Blinking several times, he seems almost surprised. "Thoniel?" he asks softly. "Um, well met." he adds. Looking upwards, he peers at the stars and smiles. "The stars are lovely this eve, are they not?"

The young elleth's shock of black tresses bob and dance around her visage in long rivulets, as her footsteps carry her through the grasses that have been made sterling by the moon. She is careful in her movements, wishing not to stumble or lose her footing as she makes her way pertly along. She holds onto her simple satchel as she goes, wishing not to make too much noise either as her smithy tools are prone to clank together. However, it could be worse.. for Winuvielle is not a smithy of large wares but rather those of delicate construction. The apprentice jewelsmith has taken a break from her initiate studies to clear her head and dream up new, yet basic ideas for what she could train herself in. Winuvielle is far from stressed or nervous, for her mind is like a sponge. Alas, she knows a beautiful night when she sees one, and her bright blue eyes cant upwards to the heavens to observe the tapestry of stars above.

Shouldering -- almost hugging -- her satchel once more, the gentle elleth smiles slightly. She returns her gaze back to terra firma, and not too far off.. spies both Galharth -- who is familiar -- and a fairly /relaxed/, unfamiliar elleth who is also enjoying the work of the heavens. Winuvielle's sweet smile then spreads into a profound grin as she is intrigued by Thoniel's nature. Without a word, Winuvielle begins to meander towards both Galadhrim.

From the pathway to the sount Arahisie walks slowly seeming oblivious to everything about him, his attention seeming to be completely upon an object within his hand. Those that look close might see but a hint of a sparkle of reflected starlight from what he looks apon.

Thoniel smiles warmly, an amused sparkle in her blue eyes as the ellon tailor draws with in range and calls his greeting, she tunrs her head slightly to look better upon him. The faintest hint of merry laughter edges her voice as she speaks, "Well met indeed!! Have you ever noticed how much brighter the grass sparkles in the moon in the spring than in any other time of year?" she seems quite amused at the response of her unusual night time activity. As she hears the light quiet steps of the elleth Winuvielle her head raises slightly, to get a better look and a small slender hand rises from the ground to wave at the elleth, "Where do you come from so late??" is her freindly greeting for even as she calls to the elleth another catches her eyes and a wide smile spreads across her lips, "What are you studying so hard this late my love?" She calls clearly and warmly to the jewler ellon, sittting up admist the grasses

"Indeed Thoniel, you speak the truth." The Tailor says softly with a glance to the grass surrounding the elleth. His gaze lasts only a moment as something distracts. The soft movements of tools, something most folks would miss, or perhaps ignore, is as a bell rining sweetly into the night air for the Craftmaster. Turning his gaze slightly he catchs sight of both Winuvielle and Arahisie. "Ah, it seems the night and this place draws others." Galharth smiles warmly at the approaching edhel, but he turns first to the Crafter. "Well met Jewelsmith, how goes the studies?" He asks with interest. "I've heard good this so far, and look forward to even more." Before an answer can be heard, the Clothier turns towards Arahisie and nods. "And well met to you, Herald."

Turning back to Thoniel to offer an answer, "As for what has me out, it is simple. I had a few dresses to delivered this eve. I know both elleths are like yourself and spend this hour star gazing."

Thoniel's regards are avidly returned, as Winuvielle lifts her own hand and offers a friendly wave of her own. "Good 'eve, mellyn!" She calls from a distance, but is quick to regard both Galharth and Thoniel once she draws close enough. A slight stumble as the tip of her foot is caught in a slight indent in the grass, but otherwise she recovers quickly and by doing this.. closes the distance. "I come from the halls of the Gwaith-I-Then, milady... I figured it would be best to wrap up the day and enjoy some of nature's own work. Would you not say that these stars are inspirational..?" She chimes melodically, her voice quiet and kind. She looks up again, giving the stars yet another appreciative glance.. then back to Thoniel. "You are in good spirits tonight, as I can see.. though I cannot say that we've met before..?" Winuvielle queried, smiling down at Thoniel once more. Moments later, her gaze canted towards Galharth's face, and the elleth offered that same warm smile. "I have been well! My studies are slow, yet sure... I wish to take my time and understand my mistakes. I wholly enjoy it! And yourself, master Tailor..? How does the evening find you...?" A nod towards his empty bag. "Have you delivered your beautiful wares..?"

She is not blind to the arrival of another ellon, alas! Also unfamiliar, though Winuvielle spares no kindness in her greeting to Arahisie. "Good evening!" She calls to him, clearly.

Arahisie grins sheepishly as he see Thoniel, and moves to attempt to secure his shining object quickly and says, "Nothing dear. Just a little thing I am working on for later." He nods to Galharth and Winuviell before he speaks again, "I hear that your work is comingalong very well Winuvielle." the ancient smith and herald says softly, "Though Galharth I was wondering more about your work... I believe Thoniel has contacted you about a dress but I think I need something more suitable to the upcoming events.

Thoniel's warm smile grows as her betrothed moves closer to the gathering, her bright blue eyes shimmering and shining in the silvery light, a small hint of mischief glimmers in her features as she turns to the tailor, "Who said I was star gazing mellon? I was practicing wiggeling my ears". Even as she speaks, the elleth's ears do in fact wiggle a bit at the tips, "I can only really tell if they're moving when I'm laying in the grass". Such strange words and stated so matter of factly!. She turns, grinning brightly to the other elleth, as though her new trick is just amazing, "My name is Thoniel and this is......" but her words trail off even as he waves a small hand to Arahisie, as though to introduce him as well, her slender dark brow raises slightly as he speaks, and she can't fail to notice his sheepish expression. Sharp bright eyes go to his hands, "You two know each other? What is in your hand love?" her voice is curious and amussed. A soft giggle escapes her lips as Arahise speaks to the tailor, "Aye!!! Please don't let him come to our wedding in his patrol clothes!!" she shouts softly in mock dispair

Turwaithiel had decided to take a path she was not normally acustom yo taking. She was a creature of habit true enought but on this day she had decided to take a new path. She had not goten far at all when the sound of voices dew her attnetion. She followed the sound to a clearing and came upon a group discussing something she could not quiet grasp as she came in the middle of the aforementioned conversation, she came forward to annouce her presence but remained silient.

"Alas, even when you reach the point of Master, your studies will never end." Chuckling softly, the Tailor looks to the Jewelsmith with full understanding of her situation. "Also, if you can manage some time while working on one of your projects, I should like to spend some time with you on the matter of song into your craft." Pausing a moment, he quickly adds, "Soon would be best."

To Arahisie, Galharth nods. "Thoniel's dress is likely to be done in a few days, it only needs a few well placed gems to bring forth the silk and ribbon." Pausing, the Tailor seems to settle into a serious mode and with the aid of his staff slowly circles Arahisie. "Indeed, you can not wed in such garb, for if you stand beside Thoniel in her dress you would fade from view." Clicking his tongue he pauses to peer directly into the other ellon's face. "We can not have you ignored on such a day, even if your lady will shine above all others."

"Let me speak with Noniel and see if we two can create your robes." Pausing his eyes grow distant as if viewing something in his minds eye. "Pure as starlight, regal in cut, simple yet something complimenting both your form and the design of your ladies gown." Suddenly shaking his head, his eyes grow focused. "Yes, I think we can provide you with what you need."

Arahisie smiles and stands still as Galharth circles him but speaks to Thoniel as he does, "I don't believe Winuvielle, and I have been properly intruduced. Though I have seen her work from the other masters. She is making quiet a reputation for herself." As the tailor speaks to him, "Oh I don't mind if she eclipse me, After all that is quiet normal, I just want the day to be special for her.

Now that the evening gives way to Arahisie's features in the moonlight -- and once he draws closer -- Winuvielle begins to gather recognition! Blushing slightly at her folley, she bows her dark head once in a sort of prolonged nod. "Oh! Yes.. it's gradual.. but I shall work to make it profound! I promise." She beams, now over her smidge of embarassment and offering Arahisie a grin, showing respect towards the ellon whom she now recognizes as one far beyond her in his years of experience and mastery in jewelsmithing. However, her attention is drawn to Thoniel as the elleth displays an art all her own! Winuvielle's grin stretches out again as she watches Thoniel wiggle the tips of her ears, and she chimes out in laughter as her slender hands clap together once in appreciation. "Thoniel," She states, laughter in her tone as she tests the new aquaintance's name on her tongue. "You may call me Winuvielle. It seems your practice is going well... I could never hope to do that." Winuvielle comments, pinching the tip of her own tapered ear in good humor. Though, her expression brightens furthermore as she takes note of Thoniel's latter statement. Wedding..? Ooooo! Winuvielle feels an inward flutter of joy for this fellow elleth whom she has just met, thrumming deep within her chest.

"I would love that, truly!" Winuvielle was quick to reply, shortly after Galharth spoke to her about supplemental studies. "Seek me out, whenever possible.. I shall make time. I have only a couple of projects on the go.. they are elementary, but they do not eat up all of my time." The elleth stated genuinely, seeming quite intrigued by this matter of.. 'song into her craft'. Then.. last, but definitely not least.. it was a flash of blonde hair in the moonlight that appeared in the corner of Winuvielle's eye, and she was quick to turn towards the approaching form of Turwaithiel. Again, her hand went up in a spirited greeting. "Hello, mellon!"

Thoniel smiles warmly as another approaches their group, throughly amused at all that is going on around her she raises a slender hand and waves at Turwaithiel, "Come join us!! It seems the stars and ears have called a gathering here tonight!!". A rather large grin spread across her features and she giggles warmly at the ellon, "Aye, a wedding. Now that he is back from patrol for a while and I've pried myself away from the libraries to actually start planning it. You're more than welcome to come. Perhaps I can even teach you to wiggle your ears!" her voice is light and warm and in good humor. As the tailor and her love speak and appraise one another she giggles softly, turning her attention back to the pair as Arahisie speaks, her cheeks darkening a little in the silver moonlight. She gives a gentle shake of her head as she rises from the grass, "I'm quite certain that when I come out of the libraries covered in dust I don't eclipse you my love, and I've told you before, as long as you're there, everything will be perfect, though, new clothes would be preferable" she teases slightly at the end. Her eyes go to the tailor as he speaks and seems to see something in his minds eye, a soft giggle escapes her lips, "I hope you're prepared to spend the next few days being stuck with pins" she teases both the tailor and her betrothed. Her eyes peering curiously at his hands as she stpes forward, "What were you studying so hard earlier?" she won't be detered

Galharth laughs deeply and shakes his head. "Alas, if the wedding is to be special for her, then certainly having you stand out is important." At Winuvielle's words, the Clothier looks over his shoulder and catches sight of Turwaithiel. "Yes, indeed, Well met, and please join us, Turwaithiel."

Turning back to Thoniel and Arahisie, Galharth shakes his head. "I'm a Master of Tailoring, pins and needles are certainly not required." He smiles broadly and glances between them. "Should you be pinned by me it would be an intentional."

Turwaithiel does approach the group with a nod of greeting to all those present. She can not help but be wrapped up in the mood that is present with in the group. "This is a wonderfull night for such a gathering. It is far better than walking along or shutting yourself up inside." She smiled at Thoniel. "So your part of this wedding I hear so much about. Weddings are always such lovely affairs. I do not know who enjoys them more the people actually being wed or the guest." Then the rest of the statement sinks in and she fixes Thoniel with a puzzled stare. "You wiggle your ears?"

The ebony-haired elleth polishes off her greeting to Turwaithiel with another warm smile, her cornflower blue eyes dancing with mirth. News of a wedding has amped her spirits, and Winuvielle is all ears to the conversations around her.. though, she is quiet. Alas, when wiggling ears give rise to more curiousity.. "Yes, yes! She does it quite well!" The elleth chimes, glancing back to Thoniel and pressing her palms together yet again. "That could be fun to do.. really throw others for a loop." She winks, and shoulders her satchel once more. "I fear that I may have to depart soon, though... my spirit has been lightened by this encounter, but I truly must rest soon before I go back into the halls." Winuvielle once again shoulders her satchel with great care, gazing upwards again one final time as her thin brows knit pensively. My, those stars are beautiful... she seems quite intent in just WATCHING them; perhaps, again, gaining inspiration..? An important thing, when first starting out with an art... the elleth still had quite the pleasant expression, but her eyes became distant and thoughtful. Not distant, as in morose.. but distant as in laden with dreams, of a sudden muse that has come roaring to life. Pushing slender fingers into the glossy shock that has threatened to obscure her face, Winuvielle pushes it all back with a sudden grin.

She has an idea..!

That distant gaze now becomes conflagrant with a sort of excitement, and Winuvielle once again regards the group before her. "Yes, I fear that I must take my leave now... it was truly a pleasure to see all of you!"

With his smile remaining, the Tailor turns to Turwaithiel. "Weddings are for family and friends, whilst the marriage is for those are to be wed. For some it's a free meal and good music, but I suspect in this couples case, those who come for the food and entertainment alone will be far and few between, if any at all." Glancing up to the stars, he looks down when Winuvielle speaks. "Alas, I fear that I too must go." Galharth says quickly as he watches the elleth depart. Watching a moment more, he turns to Thoniel and Arahisie, "I will seek you both out in short order when your Robes and Dress are done." Bowing his head slightly to the remaining edhel present, he turns and wanders off. As he moves, he picks up a soft hum, joining once more with the singers of Lothlorien.

Thoniel grins mischiveiously at the newcommers question and nods her head enthusiasctially, "Aye! I just figured it out tonight!!" With her excited words spoken she turns her head slightly, giving the elleth a better view of her ear as she does in fact wiggle them, the tips moving ever so slightly in the silvery light. She giggles slightly at the tailors words, "Aye mellon, I know you are the best at making clothes, just have to tease you both a bit. I am sure that he will look stuning in whatever robes you prepare, though, do try to avoid pink if you can" she teases, nudging Arahise slightly with her elbow, though her eyes flicker to his hands again and whatever he is hiding. She loks wide eyed and curiously to the elleth jewler as she speaks and than seems to gaze off and suddenly come back to the present, "I will deffinatly teach you how than mellon! We shall entertain all the elves in the woods with our wiggeling ears" she teases warmly, "I think you should keep an eye on her love, she may surpass you at jewelsmithing" she teases softly, the elleths enthusiasim is infectious. Shee turns again to the tailor as he speaks, "Aye, thank you again for all your work!" she calls, "We shall all have to gather again soon." she turns her bright gaze back to Turwaithiel, "Would you like to learn to wiggle your ears as well? We can become the wiggeling elleth trio!" humor and jest fill her light voice.

Arahisie smiels and nods to Galharth and Winuvielle turn to depart, "Fare the well my friend." before turning back to Thonile and Turwaithiel and laughs at the pink robe refrence "

Turwaithiel can;t help but laugh at the thought of the ear wiggling trio. "That would be the most wonderful sight. Walking about the woods with wiggling ears. Yes you most show me how to do it. It would give your guests something to speak about for a long time to come certinally. You must tell me how it is done." She can not help but add after a pause. "Why you would prefectly dashing in pink I think. You could start a new fashion with your pink."

Thoniel giggles merrily as two from the group depart and three remain, she places the palm of one hand softly on her bethrotheds cheek, "I just don't think pink is your color love" she teases but turns to the other elleth and grin, "Do you think so? I don't know that pink would really go with his eyes." Her voice is light and teasing, merry with love and freindship. "Aye!!! Wouldn't it be a sight, we can preform at the dinner!" she seems throughly enthused to make her weddint a light and joyous event. "It is really quite simple, but it is easier to practice in the grass, that way you can feel if your ears move." Her features a light with happiness as she turns her peering gaze back to her betrothed, "Now mellon, what /is/ in your hand?" she asks again

Arahisie chuckles at Thoniel's insistance, "I was hoping you would forget about." he shakes his head, "I am afraid I can not show it to you now." he slips the item carefully into a pouch, "It is for later. I assure you, you will see it."

Turwaithiel looks Araphisie up and down once. Steps back and turns her head slightly to the side. "I think the pink might work if added to it where some lace and ruffles." She can't help herself from laughing at the thought. "Truely though I am sure what ever your clothes look like they will be lovely. We have no shortage of skilled tailors and the like here."

Thoniel's bright eyes narrow slightly, curiousity sparkeling in her features, "Mellon, you should know by now, I don't forget about things when you act so strangely." her voice is soft and light, her smile warm as she playfully trys to peer at the item as he slips it into the pouch, not really trying to catch a glimpse but just teasingly trying, "All right than. I won't have my freind here help me wrestle it from you than" she teases softly, giving a concpiriatorial wink to Turwaithiel. She can't help but giggle at the elleth's words and steps back a pace to peer at the ellon, eyeing him critically as if imagining what the elleth speaks of on him, "I don't know..... Maybe if it had some light purple added......" she teases warmly. "Aye, he will look wonderful no matter what he wears, I just don't know how comfortable he'll be in formal wear, or ruffles" she jests

Arahisie chuckles and says, "As you know, I do now and then have to appear in formal wear when I am in service to the lady so...." he shrugs, "A nice purple might not be bad though."

Turwaithiel nods. "Formal wear can be quiet uncomfortable. There is a reason I avoid it when ever possible. It depends on the make of it and how long you have to stand there formally pretending to be solem and all of that. Honestly though I prehapsa dark blue would be lovely."

Thoniel smiles softly and laughs warmly at Arahisie's words, "Yes I know love, but I also know the instant you're released from our Lady's bidding you're right back into other clothes." she gives a gentle shake of her head, amussment sparkeling in her eyes, "If Galharth makes your robes purple it will most certinaly not be a wedding anyone will forget anytime soon" she jests warmly. She gives a slight nod of her head as the elleth speaks, "Aye, dark blue would look handsome indeed on him, and bring out his eyes a bit I think. I have to agree on formal wear though, it is uncomfortable. I can't say much for myself as for being solem though. I think if I was ever solem the woods might crumble" she teases warmly.
