Royal Court Mallorn
A large mallorn dominates the line of trees guarding the western edge of the
lawn. At its base, the white path from the east turns northeastward, leading
eventually to the foot of an even greater mallorn in the distance. A white
ladder leads up into the boughs here beside a nameplate that reads "<Sindarin>
The Royal Court".

Yellows, oranges, and reds burst forth from the eastern horizon, signaling the
break of dawn. Few elven voices sing at this time of day, but those few who sing
are softened by the song of the birds welcoming Anor's rise. A warm breeze blows
forth across the wood, sending the leaves overhead into a gentle flutter. It
seems a near perfect begining for a new day.
Wandering from the lawn towards the Royal Court Mallorn, the Prelate Sidhsarn,
heads to his duties. Yawning slightly, he pauses before going up into the tree,
turning to the east to welcome the new day.
Lostiriel stands on the lawn watching the rise of the sun as it warms her
upturned face. Sleepiness is quickly leaving her as she listens to the few elven
voices healding the early morning. Sighing deeply, she revels in the freshness
of a new day. Then, hearing the approaching footsteps, Lostiriel turns toward
the sound and smiles, the morning's early light softening the lines of her face.
"Greetings, friend," she calls in a sing-song voice.
Turning from the east, Sidhsarn lifts a brow as his gaze falls upon the elleth.
"Well met, mellon," he says with a smile. Glancing quickly at the rising sun,
and then towards the elleth his smile broadens. "I admit the view is quiet
lovely, but this is not a regular place for those in search of a sight. So tell
me, what brings you here on this new day?"
Tilting her head to the side, Lostiriel's eyes sparkle as she acknowledges the
words, replying, "You are right. The day is indeed awakening bright and
beautiful, but it is something else that has called me to this particular place
on this morning. I confess that it is an interest in something else. You see, I
am beckoned by an interest in the Royal Court." Here, she hesitates, not wanting
to sound too eager. Then, she quickly continues, "It is an interest of mine in
which I long to play a part."
Narrowing his eyes, and pursing his lips, the Prelate considers the elleth's
words. "Indeed, if this is your wish, then you are certainly speaking with the
right person." He chuckles softly, "Or better said, at least one of several who
can help you." Taking a step closer, he carefully inspects the elleth's eyes.
"Tell me, my dear, what is your name?"
Trying to look as serious as possible, Lostiriel lifts her eyes to meet his, but
she can do little about the sparkle that glistens in them. Nor can she stop the
gentle smile from lifting the corners of her lips as she replies, "My name is
Lostiriel. It is an honor to meet you here on such a fine morning." She
earnestly searches his face, in turn, for a hint of favor that may lead to the
granting of her wish. For a moment, this intensity and earnestness replaces the
sparkle of her eyes, and she searchingly looks at him in great hope.
"Well Lostiriel, I, Prelate Sidhsarn, shall make it the first task of the day to
enter your name as a Courier." He bows his head, offering a small measure of
respect. When he looks back towards Lostiriel, he smiles. "Welcome to the
Arnpand o Lothlorien."
Sweeping his hand towards the ladder leading into the Royal Mallorn, he adds,
"And your task Courier Lostiriel, shall be to enter our workspace where you will
review the list of missions, and begin your work on completing each within the
list."
Hardly able to contain her joy, she bows her head in return, looking up with
wonder at his words. Lifting her head again, her smile is full and her happiness
is plainly visible. "Thank you. I am aware that this is a great honor, and I
shall do as you say." She glances toward the ladder, and nods. "I assure you I
will do well."
Watching the new Courier move up into the ladder, Sidhsarn smiles. Clearly, the
Royal Court has gained an asset this day.
