| This is a simple and cheap way to keep people from getting under the hood of your Jeep. What I don't understand is why the hell Jeep doesn't design a locking hood as a standard option anyway?? Since they don't, I ordered the hood lock from 4WD Hardware and for about $22. Definitely worth it considering the amount of damage someone could do to your Jeep's engine if they got under the hood. Either that, or they could rip off your battery, K&N filter, air compressor, and whatever other mods you've made. You don't have to mount it, you just unlock and remove it whenever you want to get in. I spray painted it black so it was less visible and so it would match the rest of my Jeep. Definitely a good thing to have!!! |
