Trail Gas
It's always a good idea to bring 5 gallon can of gas or two. The 4.0L engine doesn't burn very much gas on the trail, but you burn the most getting up there and back. I rarely have to bring an extra can for a day trip, but I always bring 10 gallons every time I go out for a whole weekend.
There are all kinds of gas cans you can get, from plastic to metal. I chose the Blitz 5 gallon Jerry Cans because they're rugged and they will fit on the Bulletproof Swing Out Tire Carrier that I will get someday when I win the lotto.
One thing to be careful of.......depending on what kind of gas can you have, be careful when opening nozzle due to the lower atmospheric pressure in the mountains.......Beauford got sprayed in the face with gas once, don't let it happen to you!!! |
