Fusebox Trickery
If you ever want to kill the dome and floor lights when you take your doors off or if you want to start your Jeep without pressing on the clutch, all you have to do is pull a couple of fuses behind your glovebox. It's that easy!!! Also, find out how to remedy a blown fuse by swapping fuses around.
Open the glovebox, disconnect the retainer strap, and remove the glovebox. To kill the lights, just pull fuse #__ (there is actually a sticker next to the fusebox that tells you what all the fuses are). The great thing about pulling this fuse is that if you have an alarm on your Jeep with door triggers, they will be disabled without causing your alarm to malfunction. The downside is that if you have a prox sensor, your Jeep will buzz more at people walking by it in parking stalls since the steel doors normaly block most of the radar waves. That extra sensitivity may be good though since a doorless Jeep can be very inviting for thieves and vandals.
Look Ma, No Doors!!!
Killing the Clutch Interlock
Remove the glovebox same as above, but pull fuse #__ instead. Now you can start your Jeep without have to jump in it, or having to use one hand to push down the clutch. It works great if you want to warm up your Jeep in the moring or if you want to start your Jeep to use some kind of air compressor that you plug into your cigarette lighter. Sometimes when loading up your Jeep for a trail run, it's more convinient to start it while leaning in the passenger side. Although this makes starting your Jeep easier, the clutch interlock was put there for a reason. SAFETY!!! If you have kids, it would be pretty easy for Junior to start up your Jeep while goofing around inside. So, use your own discression before pulling that fuse.

Blown Front Wiper Fuse
I recently ran into trouble with a blown wiper fuse. I had parked my Jeep outside and it snowed about 8" over night. That morning I jumped in my Jeep to warm it up and flipped on the wipers to get the snow off my windshield. I didn't realize how heavy (and wet) the snow was, my wiper motor couldn't push the snow off, and the fuse blew. That sucked cause it was starting to piss down rain and I had a long drive ahead. I didn't think it was a big deal cause I have some spare fuses that came with my Jeep when I bought it. Well, it just so happens that the front wiper fuse is a 25amp, the only size I didn't have a spare for. So I looked for a 25amp in the fuse box that ran something I could live without on the way home. Nada, the front wiper has the only 25amp in the fusebox. Fuck. My friend suggested that I try a spare 20amp fuse. Well HAL LE LUYA!!! IT WORKED!!! So, I you ever find yourself in this situation, just pop in that 20amp fuse until you can get another 25amp.
