This is actually my second high performace muffler/tailpipe setup. The last one was from Bucky's Mufflers (local shop) who did a shitty ass job bending my tailpipe. In a way I understand, cause it's a pretty tricky bend. But for christ's sake, it looked like hell and would obviously hinder the flow cause it had so many creases in it. I was pissed they didn't start from scratch and do a better job, but that's why I don't go there any more. Funny thing happend exactly one year after I got it, right when the warranty expired. The weld going from the tailpipe to the muffler broke clean off leaving my tailpipe dangling on one of the hangers. Fortunately I noticed it right before I left for Crystal Mtn. The one cool thing was that my Jeep sounded like a fuckin Harley!!!
Leave it to the Experts
So I finally got my Jeep into Mike's, the local muffler shop that I got my original tailpipe made at. He fixed me up with a new muffler and tailpipe right away. I'm much happier with the new setup, and I paid about $40 less than at the other place!! |
