The Jatco Auto Was rebuilt and Strenghended by Yarra Valley with a 3500rpm Stall Converter and Trans Cooler

The Driveline and setup was in Mint Condition, but the exterior needed alot of TLC, the roof, Bonnet, Boot was badly Faded from the sun, the roof was almost completely white, the panels where pretty straight with only 6 small pin dents & some scratches and bumper pieces missing, all Badges had been stripped from the car and various interior parts stolen, as some thieves tried to steel the car, they only got as far as to push it off around the corner and steel the stereo and some badges.

at This Stage All work had been Done to the car By John and Danny at Bresciani in september 2002 the car had never been boosted above 14 PSI, after a quick tune the the car went down to calder for a quick 12.24 sec pass @111mph on 14PSI with slicks.
With more boost and some c16 the bresciani boys guaranteed  it to run an 11.1 - 11.3



Over a year and half of a fun build up getting this car to where I wanted it, all new parts where purchased and the original parts sold.

Parts where upgraded with the following;

A well proven PWR front Mounted Intercooler  measuring 600 x 280 x 80  was used.

A lot of work went into the top end of the motor the standard single Cam RB30e head was kept and Moulded into the following;
huge porting of both the Inlet and  Exhaust area. New turbo valves, new heavy duty valve springs, new valve guides, Vernier cam gear, Nizpro Camshaft (street/Strip), Machine lifter cradles( for bigger cam) this top end was placed onto the Fresh Forged Bottom End purchased with the Original Car

The fuel system was upgraded to a Bosch 044 Fuel Pump (3.6 Litres Per Min MAX), XTR 1.5 L Surge Tank (Polished), Speed Flow Fittings, running off Factory; external and internal Fuel Pumps. Denso 550cc Injectors (3.3Litres Per Min MAX)

And to help get all the power to the tarmac a automatic transmission was built using a 3200 TCE Stall convertor, with a 4spd full manual shift kit and Transbrake (built by www.keas.com.au)

The Original series 2 Calais shell that was much in need of a paint job, was sold and replaced with vl calais turbo with factory sunroof, the car had never been modifed until now:) , the new Project will be droping all the running gear into the New Shell, and running a new aftermarket Engine Management system, the choice is out of Motec M4, Autronic SMC or a plug and Play Link.
