Ever since the Youth Days at TBC (December 2001), I've seen the opportunity to read while I am still young. Starting March, I began reading one good book per month. Here you can follow what books I've read and my comments. Hope it encourages you to read too! Email me any good recommendations!

A Woman After God's Own Heart by Elizabeth George
Read March 2002

A GREAT book! It's written in an easy style that makes you feel like you're with the author. Though it covers things addressed to a married woman, it also discusses your relationship to God. I recommend it! I also read
Beautiful in God's Eyes but I don't recommend it as highly.
Young Christian by Matthew Henry
Read April 2002

(Picture not available) VERY good book! I recommend it highly. The style is easy to read. Overall, the book is convicting and challenging. Read it!
The Tongue by Simo Ralevic
Read May 2002

Convicting, humbling, excedingly conscience jabbing. It shows you the depth of the sins of the tongue. It also shows you the desparate need for God to help you bridle your tongue. Read it but be prepared to say "Ouch!".

"If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceivith his own heart, this man's religion is vain." James 1:26
What Happens When I Pray by Benjamin Palmer and Thomas Goodwin
Read June 2002

(Picture not available) Good book. Sometimes hard to get through. It taught me a new perspective in prayer.
Walking with God by J.C. Ryle
Read July 2002

Yet another convicting book. I found this one particularly good because it covers vital questions concerning true religion and assurance of salvation.
Read this!
The Joy of Fearing God by Jerry Bridges
Read August 2002

Need a book to knock you to your knees and humble you? Here's the book! It covers the greatness, power, love of God, etc. and how we are to fear Him and why. This book opens the Scriptures and makes you see yoru lack. Well done, nicely written, and very concivting. Also teaches our dependence on Him because we don't even own ourselves!

Quotes:
"You won't grow in the fear of God unless you work at it."
"Even our tears of repentance need to be washed in the blood of the Lamb."
"You grow in the fear of hte Lor by gazing upon the beauty of His attributes and by seeking and ever-deepening relationship with Him."
A Heart for God by Sinclair Ferguson
Read September 2002

Great book! A good follow-up after reading The Joy of Fearing God. Knocks you to your knees in worship as you behold God in new ways. He is the Holy One of Israel, the faithful provider, the covenant Lord, the maker of Heaven and Earth -- He is God! Haven't read it? Read it!

"When you look at the Cross, what do you see? You see God's awesome faithfulness."
