I'm a first year delegate. I've been to SEMMUNA, GLIMUN, and UMMUN. I liked them all. at GLIMUN I got an honorable mention because I owned that committee. which was environmental.
My chair at GLIMUN was really cute. I wanted to table him. haha. its be funny if he saw this... good thing no one does. he was really pale, short and sort of pudgy with curly hair... I have wierd taste! but this is supposed to be about model UN!
UMMUN Update-UMMUN was fun, it ended on January 16th, 2005. I got an award, "Outstanding Delegate". I was Angola, in the World Health Organization Committee. I got what I wanted for AIDS drugs, which was the more cheaper generic drugs, for my poor AIDs ridden country. As for GMO's, my country gets to have its ban respected, which is sweet. I was always on the other side of the US's policy. The US was two guys from forest hills. sometimes i'd get really mad at them, but they are decent guys who accurately represented the United States. All in all, it really made me want to go to U of M. it was fun. can't wait for next year. I love Model UN!!!!
