Here's what happened in June....

June already! Gosh, the year just seems to fly by...anyways...Today I went in early to copy music...but I realized I had a math ditto to do! While doing this and laughing with other bandies in the process, Brad informed me that he had something that I had lent him. And I'm thinking to myself...I never let him borrow anything of mine....I wonder what it is. So he's like, remember that time we camped out in the band room b/c we had jazz rehearsal? And I'm like, yeah...and he said that I let him borrow a little ruler, and he forgot to give it back. Then he told me that Karda accidentally decided to destroy it and whacked it against the wall one day and broke off a few inches of it. I told Brad not to worry about it because I forgot about it anyways! I just think that it's funny that he actually chose to tell me he broke something I lent him! After I did the ditto and copied no music, I set up the room. But where is Barb?? At first I thought they left her at Clarence Center (the SB played at the elementary), but when she came back 6th period, I found out that she passed her road test! The day continued normally, until the end of the day, when Robida proceeded to try to beat up Dylan, who was laughing.

Today, the WE ventured into munchkin land....that's right...Sheridan Hill Elementary. We were performing a concert for their little morning program. Upon arriving, D wasted no time in establishing a "flute table" where only flute players could leave their cases. She growled at any trespassers who tried to reside there. Continuing her evil mood, she teased Megan (because she's such an easy target!!) and Megan actually fought back. No worries though, D's words are stronger than Megan's shove! >;) The concert went ok...I mean, we could have played better...but since we were just performing for the little kids, I don't think that everyone cared as much. Which was a shame. Anyways, the percussion took forever to set up, but I don't blame them, because they only had about 5 square feet to put their stuff! =) The kids were really cute....the ones holding hands...awww....The one girl asked if there was an Eb clarinet...I was impressed at her clarinetical knowlage! =) The students covered their ears and were startled by loud cymbals! >;) They also bounced up and down to the bass line in the last mvmt. of Yiddish Dances! One girl was conducting with a birthday pencil she recieved! It was SOOO cute!! Then we had to take the "bus" back (the seniors weren't allowed to drive for some reason, but Mr. E (being a nice band director) let them drive anyways. So I got a ride from Rebekah! It was almost the flute mobile, but Megan wasn't there...I guess she was still scared to be confined in a small space with me! >;) So after a quick stop at Wilson Farms to get "gas", we returned to the high school and parked in the middle of nowhere! =) After, I changed out of my skirt and into my pink pants....because I felt like wearing them. =) We then handed in music in WE, so it was basically a nothing day. Funness for all bandies! I also stayed after and copied more music...I almost got a whole song done. I'll have to start staying after more...I've got TONS of work to do...=O

Mr. Vitello was very weird today...(oh my gosh that's the first time I called him
Mr. Vitello in a looooooooooooong time!) anyways, V was just walking by, and spotted a clarinet reed on the floor. So he approached it and kicked it. All of a sudden, after kicking it, he sprinted to the men's bathroom. All Drew, Tiff and I could do was laugh. When he came out of the bathroom, we gave him a strange look and he said - "What?" in his innocent little Vitello way. Mr. E was also giddy today, he scared the crap out of us! We all just couldn't stop laughing 6th period....it was such a weird day! And today was also the spectrum concert.....and as always, I arrived insanely early. A bandie's gotta do what a bandie's gotta do. =) After dwelling in Symphonic territory, Eicher summoned me and a few select bandies to "ush" (haha Brian). I saw many graduated bandies like Jerry, Jen, and that one trumpet player who was in concert band...After having a fun time handing out programs, I went back to the blue room to warm up. There, Mr. E informed us that we were going to secretly take out blue ponchos to our seats, but not letting the audience see. Then he told us that when he says his little speech about Niagara Falls, that we should all put on our ponchos! The only bad thing was that we couldn't wear the hoods (they covered our ears) and they were stickey because my hands were all clamey! It was kinda ewwish...and I was one of the last bandies to get mine on! I was not the last, however, b/c Mr. Stroth couldn't even get his on...and Ben had to help him! Everyone applauded when he put his on. Even the harp player from the BPO, Mr. E, and Furmie had them! =) It was really cool even though we screwed the song up a few times...like I came in early in the 5/8 measure where the horns play....and I don't think my picc was in tune, and I kinda screwed up the few solos I had. I sounded terrible! I think my poncho distracted my piccolo from playing well! =) All in all, it was a good concert....even though Brad almost stabbed me in the forehead with his "lucky screwdriver".

*NSYNC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The concert was soo cool!!!!! First, Mother Koelbl picked me up and then we picked up Katie and Katey!! (at Katey's house). Then we went out to eat and we were very worried that we wouldn't make it on time! But we really had a good hour or so! Then we saw this car which had all this writing on it and it said "Honk if you like *NSYNC"...so Mrs. K had to drive quickly to catch up with it so they could hear us honk! =) This gave us the brilliant idea to make our own sign! Katey found a marker and a band-aid and we stuck Katie's sign against the back window for everyone to see! Finally we got there, and we ran around trying to find where we were going, then we lost Mrs. Koelbl, then we found her, then we decided to get our T-shirts and we all got the same one (because it was sparkly)! Then we went to our seats then finally Steve came on (Joey's brother) and he gave away some free things to the lucky people sitting in the front rows. Grr. Some guy shot Fu-Man Skeeto shirts to people and then this awful girl sang. Me and Katey were extrememly board, so we wanted to play hang man. But the problem was, she had no paper! So she rumaged around in her bag, and found a yellow floppy disk in it! So it became the *NSYNC disk....with all our doodles. =) After we bought some cotton candy, played more hang man, and fixed the crappy lettering that I did in the car to the back of Katie's sign, they announced that we still had 30 minutes. So I beautified my sign...(NICE CHORD PROGRESSIONS) and drew a stick Lance and a stick Khris (but no stick saxophone!) =) Then they FINALLY came on! I decided to yell whenever Lance showed up on the screen...and I did it "The Vehar Way", as to not ruin my precious vocal chords!!! ) It was amazing....they had many moving platforms and shiney lights, and they rode mechanical bulls, and Lance even rode a bicycle! Hehe! It was the best first concert (not including band concerts!!) I've even been to! =D

Such a sad day for all bandies. Today, we read the remaining prophecy (Sarah's) and Mr. E commended all the seniors. Conor also fell for the trick we played on him.....Mr. E announced that "we" were going to play at Harris Hill Elem. this morning at 7:45, but the rest of the band knew we really weren't! See, Conor was all like, wahoo! It's my last concert, I'll never have to play this tuba again!...So we seized the opportunity! =D The band then played Elsa's procession....and everyone was all crying! ='( Everyone was hugging each other and crying....it wasn't a thing that that last year! ...On a brighter note...(::major chord:: hehe) I wore my *NSYNC shirt today! =D The bandie's also enjoyed a fruitiful 6th period of not filling the machine and doing strange things! Lauren and Brad came down to the band room randomly and we chatted and looked at Lauren's prom pics. Then she stole us some Advocates from the cafeteria. We took pictures, signed yearbooks, and opened the "band time capsule"...even though we already knew what was up there!! =) And then Pat fell off his chair on the riser and spilled popcorn all over! It was foony. In un-bandish occurances, I enjoyed my last day of the loathesome classes: French 3R with Mrs. Thome and Eng10H with Mrs. Jochum! =) I stayed after to copy music...and during the carnival, Steve Petko jumped off the slide and broke him arm....Gentile called an ambulance from the music office! Then everyone was forced to go home, but I still got some good copying done.

After copying for 3 hours, it was finally time for the banquet!! I couldn't believe how fast the year has gone by!!! When we arrived, we established a "sophomore table", but it was quickly infested with freshmen! But they were cool freshies, so we didn't mind. The food was okay...but the salad was soooo awful! It had these nasty oranges and this disgusting dressing! It was like, every type of dressing combined!! =P After dinner, the handed out the awards. The thing that made me angry, though, was that everyone would not shut up! I bet Vitello, Stroth and Eicher felt kinda dumb talking and having nobody listen. Poor seniors. Anyways, I felt the awards were well earned by all the recipients. Barb even correctly guessed all the "best rookies" for every band! =) It was a great night, and I will miss the seniors so much next year. I don't know what I'll do without Lauren!!! =(

Since nobody else besides me actually cares to come in and do bandish work, I made my first deposit today! After I filled the machine, Eicher asked me if I emptied the money (which usually Tiff does). So we went back and got the money, and we counted it and went down to the office and everything. I figured that I have now done every kind of bandie job at least once!!! I was stage manager, I was assistant vice president, I'm librarian next year, I was sub-treasurer today, and I....wait! No!!!!! I have not done any secretarial work!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Oh well! And I've never been band president...but they really are just a figure-head. I think the only thing Justin did this year was make a speech yesterday at the banquet! Last year, the only thing Jerry did was announced to the bands that we would be getting T-shirts for our NYC trip if someone would design them, and nobody did, so it was pointless! Tim is the president next year, I feel that he will do a good job. Even though that job is doing nothing! =)

Today I had twooooooooooooooo exams! =/ I went in at 8:00 this morning with hopes to fill the machine, but when I got there, Brian, Drew, and a locked band room door greeted me. So, I seized the opportunity to tell Abraham the "pretzel rod" story. I'm pretty sure that everybandie knows now! Hehe! Then, speaking of the devil, Vitello walked in, and Brian chirped "Hi pretzel rod!" Vitello didn't even respond at first, then he's like, what did you call me?!? =) He opened the door, and we all filled the machine...and noticed that the stool Brian evily hid on the amp in the "high voltage" room had been discovered. After filling, Pat came in and we basically just hung out until Katey arrived. Pretty soon, it was time for the bio test! It was no fair that Katey got to be in the band room!! I was in the "Oorchestra" room, so I was nice and air conditioned! Mr. E was also a proctor, and I noticed that you could see the tucked in part of his shirt through his pants...eep! Half-way through, Mr. V randomly came in to talk with Eicher, and decided to stand behind me as I was taking my test, trying to see what I was writing about vaccines. I looked up and him and commanded him to
go away. I was the 2nd to last one finished...hehe! Then Katey, Drew, Me and some annoying people went to Wilson Farms, even though I had no money! We seen some "INTENSE" strawberry milk, and some chocolate covered pretzels! (Don't let V see!!) =) Katey bought a ::in high voice:: pita! Then we had to wait for Patrick and get sunburned sitting on the curb (gurr!!). Then, I discovered an "ArtVoice" just innocently laying in the free box thingey! So I took one, and I found a..."You've Got Male!" and a "Meet Me Later!". Also a "Life in Hell!"...but sadly, no "Featuring the Work of...Mr. C". ='( Hehe! After, we almost got smushed trying to cross the street! Then we made it safely back to the band room and proceeded to chat with Brad and Brian, to whumph, and to play some evil chords. And many bad reditions of Fur Elise..."I can only play it facing sideways!" LOL! Pretty soon, other non-bandies and random people started invading, so we left to "associate with our peers". After Jon convinced me his brother is a communist cop, (?!) we took the ee-vil math exam! I used the WHOLE 3 hours! I was the last one done for Mrs. Cohen!...and Barb came in 2nd place! There was also some girl way over on the other side, but she didn't count. =) I think I did pretty good, but I had to make up some reasons on the proof...These math people just have to get a little more creative! LOL! The band room was locked, so I couldn't get my ArtVoice and my review book, so I went to the Oorchestra room and practiced piano until the blue mobile came! =D
