| A Child's Angel
Oh little child sleeping there Tell me, how much more pain can you bear? How many harsh words Can a child take? What do you fear for when you wake? Oh little shild sleeping there, You have cuts and bruises everywhere Tell me what they make you do, Tell me child I'm here for you. You are just a little tot But they make you work on days oh, so hot. Oh little child sleeping there, With the stars shining up above. How sweet and innocent your face, But soon hurt and pain will fall in place. I'm so sorry for what you see, And sorry for who you'll never be, To never go to school, or be treated by the golden rule. Oh little child sleeping there, Hang on, I'm still here, I still care. By Jessica Barnett April 22 1987 - June 15 2002 |

| My daughter Jessica Lynn Barnett wrote the above poem during the spring of 2002 for a school assignment. She was reflecting on the child labor in undeveloped countries when she wrote this. You may send the link to as many people as you wish, but please do not copy this as it is her work and talent that I, her dad am putting here to share. Mark Barnett |
