Once again I find
myself trapped between two states of consciousness. I have often
chapped it up with
Vas and Sharad about what the hell we can do to find the inner
peace we all strive
for, and follow our dharma at the same time. I'm here to say
that I have fallen
like so many of us to the bitch out styles and luxuries of this
western society, and
have been spoiled by the greed which the society around me so loves
to glorify. I
need to become an independent soul, who depends on no one or nothing.
We must strive for
the absolute in each of us, so that we may be calm, and sincere.
We must be able to
not feel sorry for the murderer or the murdered, nor for the cripple
or for the
athlete. These manifestations of our own reality are here only to show us,
not cloud our
judgement. Imagine being able to sit in a corner for weeks on end
without any human
interaction. Imagine taking a vow of silence for 8 years as my
Buddhist friend, Han
Sur, did in the hustling streets of India and in the U.S.
This is what we all
must strive for, for the ignorance which cakes us all right
now must be lifted.
Eternal love,
Avi
