Questions and Answers on Fluffy

Q: Whats up with the "Borrowed Arm"?

A: Sesshoumaru, whose left arm is cut off by Inuyasha, kills a demon, steals its arm and grafts it onto himself. Perhaps because of its demonic power, the borrowed part seems ill adapted to semi-permanent use. A human arm with a Shikon shard in it seems to be most adaptable to him.

Q: Is that "Fluffy object" Sesshoumaru's tail?

A: No. It is dog fur. When Sesshoumaru transforms, the dog fur is around his shoulder and under his tummy. He also does have a tail when transformed. See the Transformed section for more.

Q: Why doesn't Sesshoumaru accept any Shikon no Tama shards, or go after them?

A: Sesshoumaru has been offered Shikon no Tama shards before, but hes powerful enough, and doesn't need them. For instance, InuYasha and Naraku go after the Shikon no Tama to become a full youkai [Translation: Demon], but Sesshoumaru already is a full youkai.

Q: Who does Sesshoumaru hate?

A: Sesshoumaru has alot of enemies, especially because of his strong abillities and his full youkai [Translation: Demon] blood. Sesshoumaru is currently after Naraku, but still his hate for his hanyou [Tranlslation: Half Demon] brother, InuYasha burns brightly. Everytime InuYasha gets in Sesshoumaru's way, InuYasha ends up beatten up or close to having his head removed.

Q: Whats the difference between Fluffy in the Magna [Translation: Japanese Comic Series] and Fluffy in the Anime?

A: In the Magna, he seems to have more expressions than in the Anime. The boa is featured on both sides of Sesshoumaru's shoulders in the Magna. Sesshoumaru seems a bit more undefeated in the Magna.

Q: Why did Sesshoumaru save Rin, if hes so cold-hearted?

A: When Sesshoumaru saw the kind-hearted Rin taking care of him while he was injured, we saw a different side of Sesshoumaru. Rin changed Sesshoumaru, he used to dispise humans and kill them if they were in his way. Toukjin, given to Sesshoumaru by his father, was used to revive Rin. Sesshoumaru's father may have set this up, so Sesshoumaru might have a good heart after all.

Q: What was that huge creature Sesshoumaru was commanding at the beginning of the series?

A: This giant demon is a faithful soldier of Sesshoumaru. Its only weapon seems to be physical strength. It is swallowed up by Mirokus mystic tunnel and killed. Legend says that oni whose image was established around the Edo period were one of two kinds: oni, which have physical substance, and mono, which are spirit entities.
