Appearance: Myouga is a flea demon, a diminutive (about the size of one bead on Inuyasha's prayer-bead necklace), four-armed old man. He has a flea-like sting, round eyes and a drooping moustache. He is almost bald save for some wisps of grey hair around his temples. He wears a hakama (skirt-pants) and a yellowish brown haori tailored to his size.
Appellations: Myouga, Myouga-jijii, Myouga-jii, Myouga-jiichan, Myouga-sama
Meaning of Name: "Myouga" can be translated as "divine grace".
Impressions: Myouga is Inuyasha's retainer of sorts (perhaps Jaken's counterpart?). He is very old, sagely and knowledgeable, but has one major failing: cowardice. Whenever there is a whiff of danger, he is the first to be off or at least to seek safety with the best fighter present (much to Kagome's annoyance, on occasion). However, to balance this, he knows about everything that goes on in the youkai world -- personally I still maintain that he must have a nation-wide information network. He is also well versed in youkai and magical lore. Of his past, nothing is known save for that he was the guardian of Inutaishou's grave -- but he ran away straightaway when he heard Sesshoumaru was on the search for the tomb. It has to be said to his credit that he came to seek Inuyasha, though.
Weapons & Attacks: As said, Myouga and battle simply do not mix. Besides, his tiny size makes his usefulness in a fight rather limited even were it not for his cowardice.

Things of Note: Myouga has, naturally, a liking for blood, especially that of young maidens (woe is Kagome). His customary entrance is to pop out of nowhere and suck blood from Inuyasha's nose until the hanyou annoyedly flattens him. He apparently can't be crushed to death by thumbs, swats or bicycle tires, and just like a real flea. However, he seems to have an ability to suck away any enchantments from a person along with the blood; the same goes for various poisons which he can leach out of the blood system. He once saved Inuyasha's life by sucking away a lethal spider poison in the half-demon's veins, and he has freed Kagome from an illusion by the same means. He is also able to speak with many kinds of animals, and sometimes uses cats or birds for transport.
First Appearance: manga act 11, anime episode 5

Voice Actor (English): Paul Dobson (who is also Naraku's VA, which sort of scares me)
