How to Cojugate

1st-------Drop the AR cantar

2nd------Take what is left over cant

3rd------Add the following endings to this:

Examples of How to Conjugate

cantar-to sing

cantar + o = yo canto

cantar + as = tú cantas

cantar + a = Ud canta

(for Ud, él, ella)

cantar + amos= nosotros cantamos

cantar + an = Uds cantan

(for Uds, ellos, ellas)

 

Some more examples:

1. We sing (cantar-to sing)-----Nosotros cantamos

2. They dance (bailar-to dance)-----Ellos bailan

  1. I buy (comprar-to buy)------Yo compro
  2. Juana buys a book.-----Juana compra un libro.
  3. *(use the él/ella conjugation for a person)

  4. Pedro speaks Spanish.------Pedro habla español.
  5. *Juana and I speak French.
  6. ------Juana y yo hablamos francés.

    *(Another person + yourself uses the we form (nosotros) of the verb conjugation)

  7. You (talking to a friend) cook tacos.
  8. (cocinar-to cook)

    ------Tú cocinas tacos.

  9. You (talking to an adult) speak English.

(hablar-to speak)

-----Ud habla inglés.
