As day becomes night
I turn off my light
And settle into my bed
I switch from my left to my right
All through the dark night
As dreams of Australia fill my head
I dream of trips to take with you
To the lake, park or zoo
And remember the things that we've said
And I will smile inside
Each time I take this free ride
Because it's to you that my dreams have led
And when I awake
Though my dreams may be fake
I know someday they'll be real instead
So I'll wear this smile
Through the months, years and miles
Because all of my fears have been shed
Then I'll ask "please take my hand"
Together we'll make our stand
Through this life and long after we're dead
I know this love will live on
Long after the great beyond
In a place where words and thoughts needn't be said
