Abstract.--Ten species of migratory shorebirds, six occurring regularly and four occurring casually, were found in a population study during the northern autumn, winter, and spring of 1981-1982 at Kosrae, Eastern Caroline Islands. The relative abundance and seasonality of each shorebird species was determined, and the numbers of these birds were found to vary considerably due to a variety of factors. |
