Entering a flowrider- On most flowriders, there will be a slide entering the rider from the side, the ride then goes downhill where the water shoots into the ride. there are several ways to enter it, but only two we will be going over. they both involve the same concept, stop yourself from reaching the bottom of the ride. if you get to the flat part of the ride or to where the water shoots out of, the water will most likely push you off of the ride.

1. cut to the side when after going down the slide. if the slide enters on the right, you will be turning left. turn left while staying far back on the board. be sure to keep your head up and drag your legs. this is the way that I (Mike) enters a flowrider.
Note: to learn how to turn, refer to turning.

2. This is how alot of people first learn how to enter the ride. as soon as go down the entrance slide, get in the middle of the board if you already aren't. now drag your legs against the bottom of the ride very hard. also, hold your hands out to the side and drag them very hard also. its easier to keep your heap down for this one. make sure the nose of your board stays up or the ride will shoot you out.
Note: when i say middle of the board, I mean it. if you are too far up on the board you will probably wipe out. if you are too far back, the ride will sometimes shoot you out.

Turning- turning is simply. most of you shouldn't have a problem with this.if you are riding prone, simply point the nose of the board in the direction you wish to go, and lean that way.
if you are riding on your knees, just lean to which way you want to go.
if you are riding drop knee, its the same as on your knees, but you need to point the knose just a littlebit.
if you are riding standup, its close to the same as drop knee.
Note: many water parks will not allow you to standup on your board (water mania included)

Staying on your board- wax works very well. i highly recommend
BZ Spax wax.

sun screen will prevent you from sticking on the board if you have not rubbed it in well enough. be sure to rub it in very well.

360s-looking to do a trick on your first time out? 360s always look cool and are easy to do. this is very easy if you are on your knees. just get in the center of your board on your knees. if your feet are still in the water, and not on the board, then your not far enough up on the board.
balance yourself out by dragging your hands in the water to the sides of you. go down to the flat part of the ride, and when you begin going uphill again, push the water agaisnt the current on one side of the board. this works best if you are right handed, spinning clockwise is easier.
