| Project manager: ..... Tuty Vaasen and Titien Mujiyanni Short description of the orphanage... The name of the Orphanage is Ghifari and is situated in the suburb of Turi Sleman. The building is located on a land of 225 square meters. The walls are made of stone, all walls are uncovered exception is the guestroom. The is one bedroom for the boys, length 6 meters width 3 meters. The walls of the kitchen are of bamboo. Coocking is done on stone, heated by burning wood. There two very small bathrooms, 1 meter width and 2 meters length. The guestroom is 5 meter length and 3 meter width. In the orphanage live twenty childeren, 13 boys and 7 girls. The age of the childeren varies from 7 till 15 years old. Twelve other childeren are located elswhere because of their age, they are still very young, besides the fact that there is no space in the present building. In the orphanage 3 care workers are busy with the day to day work. Flowgi activities for Ghifari orphanage.... In cooperation with the local Flowgi staff we started already several activities in Ghifari. Flowgi started the renovation and re building of the orphanage. Several rooms were reoganized in order to create more efficient space so that we can accomodate more childeren. The bathrooms were renovated and also the floors were renewed. In July 2004 the 2nd fase of the renovation will be started in cooperation with some Indonesian students under supervision of the Flowgi staff.
