Steve & I were living in the Philippines. Steve was busy with the IDC, I had an ear infection and Mum was fed up in the UK, so Mum & I met in Thailand for a bit of a treat!
We spent a lot of time in Bangkok visiting the Wats and palaces, but we also travelled by train out to the Kanchanaburi region where we visited the River Kwai and all of the famous landmarks that are associated with it.
To finish off - we chilled on the beaches of Ko Pha Nang & Ko Samui. Mum made me proud as she lugged her backpack around & got stuck in to the overnight trains, arduous ferry journeys and street food! |
