GREED and ENVY

Greed is only wanting more than you have. Envy is only seeing something you want of anothers and wish to obtain something like it for yourself. The reason I put these in the same catagory is because they are the motivational forces behind success, for if you want more than you have or want something you have your eye on you will work to gain them and your motivation will be exersized so that you may eventually recieve your objects of desire.
The actual definition of greed is the exccesive desire to aquire more than one needs or deserves. Greed is a very selfish thing to have, indeed. It is the the buildingblock of discontentment. A person who is greedy may go far in this life, but many heads will be stepped on to get there. If you are content and not greedy, you have much to give. If you have more than you need, then you carry useless lumber. You only think so highly of yourself that you must build yourself a kingdom. But all kingdoms on earth will perish with the earth. All you have will slip from your hands when you die. Give to him who has less than you. If you have more than enough to eat, feed him who doesnt. If you only gather and gather for your own belly and back, you will find yourself standing upon a mountain of selfish garbage. If you only help yourself, then how will they who are less fortunate be helped? But no, go on. What is so special about them... What have they done for you? Why should I give what I worked for to someone who I dont even know? Let them figure out how to feed themselves. Have you never needed? Have you never recieved from him who you have not known? Have you not recieved from he whom you have never toiled for? Are you so high and mighty that youve never needed? Are you so high and mighty that you should never be he who gives, than takes? Never be he that has no good deed in him? A greedy man has much, but gives nothing. A greedy man saves his own life by sacrificing anothers. Step in anothers shoes, for a moment. Say your Dad, brother or friend was being held at gunpoint by a murderer. Another man walks by and sees this. This man could be greedy of his own life and walk away or fight with the killer and chance being killed. Which do you think the man should do? Remember what Jesus said. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Jhn 15:13" Jesus also said that all that believe on Him are called His friends and He layed down His life for all of them.
Another misconception here was envy. The dictionary term for envy is this; A feeling of discontent or RESENTMENT aroused by and in conjunction with desire for the possesions or qualities of another. It is not good to have ill will toward a person just because they have something that you do not, but want. It is not good to hate another for his wife, money or status in society. Why be jealous over something that has nothing to do with you? And do not kid yourself, it IS jealousy. Such things lead to murdering a man for his wife (Such as King David did in II Sam.) or mugging a man for his wadges. Believe it or not, God knows all that you do, feel and think. No sin is hidden from Him. Remember this. "Be not decieved; God is not mocked: For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting. Gal 6:7,8" But that is not to say that all who sin go to hell. I sin you sin, we all sin. Not one of us is righteous. No, not one. But we learn what is to be done of us here. "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. I Jhn 2:1,2"
