This is the first major drawing I had to do for my Drawing class. We are required to do 10-hr drawings [and if you only spend that much time it's like a C]. I spent about 26 on this one. We had to pick 3 objects that described us: the converse represents all things retro about me, the soccer ball b/c it's my favorite sport and I once played, and the book b/c I am a complete dork...teehee. I read about 11 novels over the summer...I think...I lost count after a while. The book is Lullaby...it's awesome and you should check it out--as well as it's author.
This picture really doesn't do the drawing much justice. I spent SO much time on the converse...about 20 hours alone on it. I put a ton of detail in it...everything from the stitches to the grooves in the toe to the lines in the laces to Chuck Taylor's signature.
