Icy Cold Fingers

Icy, cold fingers
Burning when it lingers
A sickened feeling grows
No one knows
Of the silenced cry
Or the prayer to die
Shaking in fear and pain
Wondering if your sane
Hands slicing through your core
Body collapses to the floor
Black and gray all around
His black cloak silencing sound
Smothered by the air
Gasping only if you dare
Icy, cold fingertips
Creep over, silence your lips
Enveloped in a black existence
Confusion and chaos in silence
The air pulses all around
Daring you to whimper a sound
Every touch and motion magnified
Your whole being is terrified
Icy cold fingers
Leaving pain when it lingers
Pinned and unable to think
Your stomach begins to sink
Black and sharpened nails
Drawing blood to silence your wails
Then left alone in fear
He's no longer near
But as the fingers part
They steal and crush your heart.
