How it all began……
In 99 I moved to America from Germany. Two month later Charly came to us. I had rabbits in my childhood and I had 1 or 2 books about them. But it was when Charly came to us that I really started to inform myself. Now I had the internet available full with information. I have found a discussion board and I have learned a lot about rabbits. As more as I have learned as more I realized that I didn’t knew so much before. I have also found the HRS (House Rabbit Society) and signed up for a mailing list in my state. At some point we formed a small group dedicated to help rabbits as far as it was in our possibilities. At some point an official chapter was formed. We moved in 2004 to another state and we are not much involved in rabbit rescue anymore.

Bubbles and Julia, two bunny girls, are also living with us. Frederike aka known as “Fred” and Wilma are at the Rainbowbridge. We had three short term foster bunnies Jack, Rerun and Tom. All three of them found very loving homes. You might see some pictures from them here and there but I will introduce each bunny on a separate page and tell you a little bit more about them.

In 2003 Snoopy our beagle-mix found us. First we had some concerns about our rabbits but with some arrangements they could live all under one roof. If you wonder, we keep them strictly separated. The rabbits got their own area now. It is possible to bond rabbits and dogs but with Snoopy’s past I didn’t want to try. At the beginning we had to work through several issues but I’m so happy he came to us; he brings us so much joy. When Snoopy came to us I also started to inform myself and joined a discussion board, read books and learned of course from my own experience.
